ANGELRUBY's Blog

A story I learned long, long, long ago.

There was a man who prayed to win the lottery faithfully every day .  He was positive that he was living a right and proper life, doing for others and himself.

After TEN years of constant prayer, he decided that God doesn't answer every prayer.   That it is wrong to believe.  That it is wrong to even think that what you wish for, with all your heart, you WILL receive.

He never bothered to "buy a lottery ticket"!

"he decided that God doesn't answer every prayer."

Sometimes God says "no".

"He never bothered to "buy a lottery ticket"!"

recently heard this same story on TV, better delivery though.

Truth is God does answer prayers AND sometimes God does not allow us to posess what He knows we wont attribute to Him. Additionally we should not look to God as some sort of cosmic bellhop or magic genie. God's blessings are gifts of His choosing in His time based on what He knows about you. The sooner we attribute all to him and we are able to see the hand of God in everything, the less we will 'pray to Him for' because we will already see all of our blessings.
1 Corinthians 13:3

I have found that if you ask, ask 100%, you WILL receive. Gotta watch what you ask for, for you WILL get the WHOLE package.

I make a list of what I want to manifest in my life. I redo it for 3 days. On the 4th day, I cross off the ones I will not or cannot put an effort to bring to fruition. What is left is what can become reality and I prioritize them and get off my duff and make them real. That and a pray for guidance. If I do not want to put forth an effort, why should God and angels help me???

I find it rather disturbing that so many concentrate on asking rather than thanking God. We were given a brain to use to solve our problems. I only ask (beg) when all else has failed. But I thank God every day.

I just enjoy being here on Earth - in the good times and even the not so good times. My path is to help people to understand that it is all right for everything not to be all right - and how to take care of things.Angel, the poodle, and Ruby, the cat are great teachers, as you can see from the picture. After all, they both accept humans, just as we are!
