WHY GOD DIDN'T ANSWER YOUR PRAYER
Jun 24, 2008 | 8:40 AM PST

Faith
A story I learned long, long, long ago.
There was a man who prayed to win the lottery faithfully every day . He was positive that he was living a right and proper life, doing for others and himself.
After TEN years of constant prayer, he decided that God doesn't answer every prayer. That it is wrong to believe. That it is wrong to even think that what you wish for, with all your heart, you WILL receive.
He never bothered to "buy a lottery ticket"!
CANCER PRAYER
Apr 24, 2008 | 7:55 AM PST
Category:
Faith
This week I have learned of eight (8) more people in my area that now have cancer. After hearing about 4 people yesterday, my prayer last night was to learn Why, is there a common denominator with all these people?
It has been for years that I have found that prayers are usually answered within 48 hours, if you pay attention and listen for the answer.
This morning's news was about the poison in plastic bottles. I don't know of any home that doesn't use plastic in the kitchen. Several years ago I stopped heating food in plastic in the microwave. Simply, because I did not feel comfortable about it after seeing the containers deteriorating after several uses. Whatever was coming off of them had to be going somewhere and, logically, that had to be in the food. I also recall that when i was doing that, all of a sudden the 2 canaries in the kitchen died. I had a feeling that the combination was not just a coincidence. I started heating foods in glass. EVERY action has a reaction.
How dare these companies KNOWINGLY put a chemical that is harmful in any way to humans in their product? A poison is a poison is a poison. Period. Can you imagine what happens when these products are heated and the gases are released?
IMy prayer this morning that these companies received the "fruits" of their labor, that whatever they put out, they receive 10 fold. (I really don't think that is exactly the way that prayer is meant to be said - it's just the best I can do right now. But it also means if they are doing good - good comes back to them 10 fold.)
We also that the free will choice to buy or not to buy these products. That is our responsibility for our health and well being.
THE POPE AND GOV CORZINE

When Pope John Paul was here, a miracle occurred for a couple of my bosses that were just in the same room as he was. It was like switching on a light switch of peace, compassion, and kindness while still doing their job properly.
I not only look at what Gov. Corzine does but also pray for him, as a person and a leader. I figured that if he treats us the way he does, what would it be like to be in his personal circle? Not too appealing to me.
I am sure that he has never been poor or even middle classed and has no idea what it is like to struggle to pay bills. If he has always been "above" the laws, how can he understand what it is like to be made accountable? And just make more laws for others to be accountable for. You may "know" it would hurt but until you have hit your thumb with a hammer, you don't know exactly what it feels like.
My friends and I have been praying for a miracle to occur for him personally and as a governor. Depending on his free will, being with the Pope and Ground Zero may be the miracle we have asked for.
WALKING THE TALK

To me, it is wonderful when people decide to improve their lives. The first step is to learn how by buying books, going to classes, going to the church of their choice, counseling from learned people whether a stranger or friend, whatever works for you.
Second step is to decide from what you have learned feels right and proper for you and make spiritual promises to yourself (best made on paper) to improve your physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and/or, material self. I couldn't decide which to work on first, so I decided to do all of them at once. Every winter I analyze my life and decide what I want to change or improve and on the first day of spring put it to action - just like nature. Sure don't see trees making leaves in the winter for them just to die.
Not the time just yet to be proud of what you have accomplished - it is just step 2 of 3. It doesn't change the situations but how you see them.
Step 3, now it is time for you to take what you have learned to be put into action to change your environment, otherwise, all this learning goes to waste. Don't use it, lose it. Those are the easy parts. The doing and doing until it becomes a habit and not giving up can be the hard part - if you make it so - just keep remembering your promise to yourself. Have FAITH - if you want it, want to work for it, you Will have it.
WHERE DOES "TIME" GO
Jan 31, 2008 | 7:18 AM PST

Faith
Why don't I have time for fun? That was my question, my prayer. Ask and you will receive.
I do feel that if we do what we can do, God will take care of what we can't do. Ben Franklin said God helps them that help themselves.
I had tried the to-do list - it was a mile long and depressing when it
was not all done at the end of the day. It was not realistic, not
giving enough time to do anything.
I felt it was important to find out what I was doing with time right now. I kept a list of time taken to do whatever I did all day for 3 weeks. The follow through was to look at the list. I found I was scattered. Doing but not finishing. Finding other things to do at the same time. BUT NONE OF THEM ARE COMPLETED. That is depressing. I now start and finish one project at a time. I found I was wasting major time by not putting stuff away as soon as I finished with it. Going to do it later? Later never comes.
Through this 3 week list, I found that I was more productive during the day when I had breakfast that day. I found that answering the phone all day, even though I worked at the same time, was a detriment. It may have slowed down the project only a few minutes but when you add 10 min. here and there, they add up.
I found my most productive work time is early in the morning. Having the home clean and picked up before going to bed means that I can be up and working at the time I am most productive. Having everything done at night and setting up for the next day means that there are no surprises in the morning - no stress getting out of the house- no rushing to fix something - and I get to where I am going on time and relaxed.
Rose did the same list for herself. She found that she was working all day so hard that she didn't realize that her family was just coming home at night and plopping down on the couch knowing she would have all the work done. She has learned to delegate. She doesn't have long ears and a tail - not a donkey - but a child of God with Rights of her own. She also realizes that she created the problem by doing and never asking anyone to do anything. And if she asked, she didn't Expect them to do it. She got what she really asked for.
This list then was used with my spending. I found that I was nickel and diming myself to an empty wallet. When you add up the "extras" spent for one week, I was shocked. Debit cards are sneaky. You don't see yourself spending that money. Remember, if you want fun time - it is nice to have some money to have fun with.
Now that I know what has been happening and what to do to change it to what is best for me, now I pray for guidance to continue until these new ideas are automatic habits.
Ask, receive, and do.
PRAYING FOR ANSWERS
Jan 28, 2008 | 7:29 AM PST

Faith
I strongly believe that when you don't know where you are going - stand still and think.
Well, many things have happened that thinking was not enough, not only for me but for others.
What I found is that many have slipped into not only asking but also telling the Divine HOW and WHEN to answer that prayer. Been there, did that and it doesn't work.
Really think about what you want - that is all that is important. The "how and when" will come at the right and perfect time for you.
At one time I wrote in my manifestation list for abundant money. I later thought that I could be blinded or hurt in a store and receive abundant money - not how I would want it. So, I changed that to happily receive abundant money.
I hope everyone is spending this winter making a goal, a manifestation list,. I have one of things I can bring to fruition and the other for Gd to handle.
If you don't have goals, any road you take will take you to where you are going, nowhere.

To me, unkind words cut deeper to the bone than the sharpest knife,
Many people can find it hard to forget unkind words said about them. Whether they have a ring of truth or not, these words keep on cutting deeper and deeper and deeper when they are regurgitated and re-swallowed. Just like a virus sneaking into your computer -you don't see it, just what it does - too late to save the computer.
Spread these unkind words to others and they are more deadly than any contagious disease we now have. Again, you don't see a physical wound. Those that let the words build anger/hurt within then feel they have to "get it off their chest" by telling others and the hate/hurt grows with each retelling.
The old story of the Hatfields and McCoys shooting at each other for generations - when asked Why they were doing that, they didn't know why, just that they were supposed to.
Another modern day example: A woman made a stupid statement about a another relative to her daughter. In fact, her mind was going faster than her mouth and it came out wrong. I think we have all done that one time or another. Her daughter embellished the words making it an insult, told her husband, who told his mother, it went to the rest of the family and Everyone was angry.. And that became one of the focuses of their lives, now it grew into hate of the first woman, and these people didn't even know her. . To boot, since she was married, they immediately thought her husband would agree with her and they began to hate him also .... and he never said a word, didn't even know what was said.
Eventually it got back to the 1st woman. She was shocked; surprised how her comment had grown . Instead of defending herself, she cut it off at the pass. She called her daughter and the other woman and just apologized. to them. Amazing that these 2 women did not also call the people they had spread the negative gossip to in the first place and tell them about the apology. They only wanted to spread the hurtful words.
I found that when something hurtful is said, I first ask the speaker to repeat what they said saying that I did not hear what they said Usually that gives the speaker the time to think about what they just said and correct it. If I did hear it right, I ask them to explain what they said further for understanding and since they opened the subject how do they feel I can correct it. Smile, since they have to justify what they have said, find a solution for it, they find it simpler just not to make such statements to me; whether it is about me or not.
I do appreciate when a caring person will first ask me if they can express their feelings about something they feel I am not doing right and give me their viewpoints of how I can change to make my life better. And allow me to heed the advice or not.
Actually when something is said and when it does hurt/upset you, it is because you feel there is a ring of truth about it. Otherwise you would just laugh it off. Or, you don't have a life and need things, even negative, to entertain and fill your mind.
I just start each day by adding to my prayers that I will just think and say what is right and proper to all. So often, when upset, just taking a deep breath and letting it out first before responding works. It's not good at that time to react, better to respond.
Long ago, Mom said to me that Loose Lips Sink Ships. She said to listen to what people say when drunk or angry. Oh yea, you only said that because you were angry? Well, how did those thoughts get into your mind in the first place? They had to be thoughts of yours.
Wars do not start by spontaneous combustion; they start with a thought, then a word.
Time goes faster and faster. I do not want to waste time. Everything I do I WANT to be right and proper for me and others. I WILL NOT LIMIT MYSELF IN ANY ASPECT OF MY LIFE IN THE MUNDANE DAILY OR SPIRITUAL. Every philosophy says, Ask and You Will Receive. That also means that if you think small, small WILL come to you. Same with thinking big. If all people thought/wished small, we would still be building fires with wood to cook our meals.
Three years ago I made a Big List of what I wanted in my life, IN THE RIGHT AND PERFECT TIME FOR ME - timing is important. If you can't take care of 100.00, getting a million could cause you grief by wildly spending and get you in more trouble and be big time in debt. List made ... 4 days later looked at it and crossed off everything that I did not want to do anything about. Things that I wanted but could not work on, that went to my God, Please Take Care of These for Me list.
Jan 2nd is the day I look at this list. Last year I was amazed on how many things were activated. Today, Wow, I got to cross off many that came to fruition! Now I can see why these were important steps to get to the other things on my list. I KNOW everything will occur at the RIGHT AND PROPER TIME FOR ME.
Think carefully when you make your list. Say you wrote to receive abundant money. You could have an accident in a store, be blinded or lose a leg,, and receive "abundant money".You would have received your wish but not as you really wanted it. I changed that to HAPPILY receive abundant money. I also DO NOT LIMIT myself. What if you put down a million but you were meant to receive a hundred thousand. You lose!
If you can dream it, imagine it, you can make it real. Ask Bill Gates. I am sure he didn't listen to nay-sayers. People who limit themselves and others.
To keep me focused, every morning I do a manifestation list. A wish list is like putting a carrot on a stick in front of the donkey - always in the future. Today I Manifest With Divine Guidance - brings my needs/desires to the present for me to make real. And I do my best.
Watch what you want to manifest. Have you noticed that God doesn't give you half-packages? You can get what you wish for and in the middle find you really didn't want it - but you get the Whole Package. I have found that God also doesn't accept half-packages.
Be healthy, wealthy, and wise.
PRAYER AND GARBAGE

Garbage is an interesting word to look up in a dictionary. The sum of the definitions is anything that is not useful to you. Doesn't mean it cannot be a treasure to someone else. Even a weed is only a plant in a place that you do not want it. It gets pulled up and thrown in the "garbage".
2007 - number 1 goal - No Garbage to be in My Life, Now or In The Future. Now, what can I do to make this real, to bring this to fruition. I must get rid of the useless, the garbage, that is already in my life - mentally, physically, emotionally, and MATERIALLY. I figure that if you have "garbage" in your life, it just draws more of the same to you.
Isn't materially the interesting one! I am thankful I do not have an attic or cellar. I do collect a little bit ... those in Heaven just rolled their eyes .. a little bit, she says ... would not like to see what her definition of a lot is...
Useless was easy and went to recycling at the landfill. Old farm machinery either fixed or off to the salvage company - metal prices were high last year. Good money for the man who helps me with the machinery.
"OK God, I am at a loss. I demand to know what to do next! .... Please!!!!" Within an hour of that prayer, Rosemary showed up. She is a very logical and diversified person. We went through each room. "Gee, Aili, these :things are too beautiful to throw away." Careful thought, calls to friends to find out if they want this or that, and 1/4 of my "treasures" went to homes where they will be used. Other things to the auction. Books onto Amazon.
Lucia was not a help. She decided to re-organize my kitchen cabinets. She doesn't cook. She is short. So all the things I use all the time ended up on the bottom shelves. Plus, I had to retrieve spices from the garbage. Fortunately they were in a new bag. She separates her garbage. Thought she would not get in trouble in my wood working shop until I found a 30.00 chainsaw blade in the garbage. "But, Aili, you already have one on your chainsaw." I fired her ... no, I didn't tell her that, she meant well.
I'm off to finish the very last room to be done, my craft room. And by Dec. 31st, no material garbage in my home. Thank you, God, for guidance. By praying first,, every time before I started, I have found that not one thing I have released, has been needed in a short while. I think that was the hardest thing about getting rid of stuff there is..
The 2nd best thing that I learned is that when you THINK you can clean/organize a room in half a day and it doesn't get done, you give up. No TIME limits. I had this hour thing, everything could be done in an hour - wrong.
Mental, physical, and material "garbage" gone. That is creating a vacuum. There is no such thing as a vacuum in nature. Notice when a table is cleared off, by magic stuff ends up on it! If your prayer for a dis-ease to be out of your life and you forget to request healing to take its place, another disease can come in.
God, I realize that You will help those that help themselves. I have worked to clean up my life in all ways. I now bring into those places only the good and useful for me. I am now creating an abundance of only good for me. My number 1 goal for 2008 is to use the good to help myself and others now and in the future. So be it!
ANGEL, A MESSENGER

A few mornings ago, I said to God, "Can I do better? How can I do better? Answer me NOW!"
I did notice that Angel seemed to have a smug look on her face. I didn't stop to think WHY.
One rule that is not broken in my home is that the pets first eat vegetables, then commercial dry food, and then the meat/poultry I cook for them. I only go to vets for the yearly shots and they live long, healthy lives. It did seem that Angel was finishing her dry food quite quickly. (I was given an alert but didn't stop to think and investigate.)
Cleaned out the kitty litter . Ruby uses the one in the cellar and it had small lumps in it, my heart raced for I thought she was constipated and that is not good for a cat ... anyone. Took time to think. Wait a minute, they are exactly the same. Closer examination - not fun - it was dog food pellets! Angel was dumping her dry food in the cat litter. The only reason I caught her was because Ruby was outside most of the day and didn't cover it up.
If Angel is one of God's "dumb" creatures, then where are we as the "superior" species.
My "demand" was answered. No, I am not thinking out projects fully, not looking at all the ways to do things. I don't know just how much Angel has on her mind but she THOUGHT out how not to eat the dry food, hide it effectively, and get onto the other food.
Yesterday was fantastic. I first wrote down all the day's projects, thought them out fully to the end, and it was magic! So much more done, with new ideas how to do them,, just by taking some time to think first, then do.
Angel also reminded me to remember I have a sense of humor.
MY BEST FRIEND

One day I decided to think about who is my best friend. I realized that I grew up with her. She was with me all the time. I thought about the times I was abusive to her, blaming her for things instead of looking about both sides of issues. There were times that I did not like her very much, didn't appreciate her beauty, common sense and abilities. I realized that I ALWAYS put the needs, wishes, and desires of others ahead of hers, feeling that was the right and proper thing to do, not wanting her to have an ego problem. I now give her honor and treat her well and my life is so much richer.
I am positive you also have a best friend just like mine. That best friend WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN. You only have to recognize that he/she IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. You can never be lonely when you are with him/her. Never.
EVERYONE can find this person right now. EVERYONE has a magic mirror. Take a mirror and ask of it, "Who is MY best Friend?"
Look in the mirror and your best friend will be right there.
HEALING LIST

Faith
For only about 30 years, I have been doing a healing list. I am
thankful for emails, no longer paying for copies and stamps. I hope
that I never forget to be in awe for all the miracles during these
years.
I refuse to put in what we think is the problem for the
person. That is Only our opinion and we may not see the whole
picture. I leave that up to the Universe, to the Divine to do what is
right and proper for the person or for me. I just put in the names,
once in a while my own name.
I have found that when you take
a couple of minutes just to pray for these people, you are the glass,
prayer is the milk. What do you see on the glass after the milk is
emptied? A film, therefore, as you ask for healing for the others, you
are also healed. This list goes all over the world and to other
people who do the same.
You are welcome to receive these
lists, to add names, to pray for the others, whatever you feel is right
and proper for you. And, if it doesn't work for you to be taken off
the mailing list.
The email address is haha2@ptd.net. In the subject: NAMES FOR HEALING
Be well and happy, Aili
WHAT IF YOU DIED RIGHT NOW

Just pretend. Just pretend you just found that you died. Think about what regrets you would have.
What things would you have wanted to do but never found the time to do them?
Were there people you were planning to call or visit and never took the time to do so and now you can't?
You would realize that it is too late to start that diet, that exercise that would have improved your health.
Think about the words you said to others that right now you cannot make amends to them and you will be sitting there listening to their thoughts about how you hurt them - forever.
Too late now to take the kids to a ball game, to listen to their hurts, to listen to their laughter. Too late to help them to be safe. So, don't put yourself in that spot.
Egad, people will be putting all my stuff away and it is a mess.
I WAS in that space where I was overwhelmed and was not doing the things I wanted , needed or desired to do. I timed EVERYTHING I was doing all day for 2 weeks. I found where there was wasted time. Don't laugh but I did my cleaning in the morning. Rosemary said it was better to do it at night. It took 3 months for me to learn to change to her way. Now, I wake up to a clean house and can get to work right away .... or spend a fun time on these blogs. I still have to learn to schedule more time for fun. But, I find working fun. My new schedule is nearly perfect. I also don't bash myself if I don't keep it perfectly. 80% is good.
The list can go on. That is why I wrote My Morning Prayer. I need to start my day off to have a happy day and to learn each day. Please read Tom's "A Thank You to God". That is the follow through. And with BOTH., you will find a good direction to your day and by being grateful and give thanks at night - you sleep well to wake up refreshed for you are not thinking and worrying what you should have done - you have done it. And, you can easily release the things you cannot do anything about.
When I meditating on being dead, it really upset me that people may be there crying. Why? What about the good times we had together? When Mom died, I had a Life Celebration. We had fun remembering the antics she did -(she was a corker). Everyone left with a smile on their faces and good thoughts of her in their hearts. I threatened my friends that if I saw tears, I would come back to haunt them. That threat didn't work - they said they would be happy if I did haunt them. Now, to Plan B. I really don't want tears - just happiest that I went "home". It will be fun to have a light in the window and a coffee pot on for those to find me when they make that next step in their journey.
MY MORNING PRAYER

So many years, so many people from all walks of life have given me a part of their wisdom. I put it all together in my morning prayer which I share with all. You are welcome to add wisdom of yours to it also, that we all may grow.
MY MORNING PRAYER
Oh, Great Spirit, who is called by so many different names, whose voice
I hear in the winds,
and whose breath gives life to ALL in this world,
HEAR ME !
I desire Your strength and wisdom.
I desire to walk in Beauty and to see Beauty in All my eyes behold today.
I desire that my hands respect the things You have made and my ears
sharp to hear Your voice.
I desire to be wise so that I may understand the things You have taught
All people on Mother Earth.
Help me to learn the lessons You have hidden in every leaf and rock and
in every experience I have today.
I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to recognize
and release the personality that is my Greatest Enemy - the one inside
of me.
From this moment on, I realize that I have Free Will, I am a child of
Divine Energy, with Rights of My Own, and the SOLE MAKER OF MY DESTINY.
Today I will plan, ask for guidance, and strive doing my best to reach
my goals.
This is the 1st minute of the greatest day of my life, filled with
miracles, health, wealth, wisdom, love, and joy.
Everyone that I have any contact with today, I bless.
I live and let live; let go and let God.
SO BE IT !
Love to all,,

COMPLAINING/LISTENING

Some spouses complain their mates don't "listen" to them, children don't "listen" to their parents and visa versa. Teachers complain their students don't "listen" to them. People go to the church of their choice but don't "listen" and walk with the ideals of their God. I think I have made one or two mistakes by not "listening" that needed forgiveness, in my life. (jokes - it may have been 3 or 4 .... hundreds) Maybe we all think we are perfect in our own minds.
I think the problem is complaining, as well as "listening". For example, the more you think about and complain about angry people , the more you become like them - angry. Giving more and more power to anger. Of course, we are angry because the spouse, students, etc. don't believe and do as we feel is right.
We all have evolved... we no longer stone people not believing as we do.... Oh my, we still do - stones changed to bullets and bombs.
I don't put my head in the sand. I acknowledge that not so good things are happening in the world and in my life BUT I don't dwell on them. I just say a prayer that they will do what is right and proper for them. We don't have the right to judge but we do have the right to discern.
We all have the power to be good or not - just depends on which energy we choose to use.
I opt to listen, try what was suggested to me to see if it works for me. After all, if there no people listening and thinking differently and working on what they think, we would still believe our world was flat.
When I see myself starting to complain - I just say - "Aili, stop it. Let it go. If you can't do something about it - say a prayer for what is right and proper FOR ALL to occur, release that energy and do something productive."
My wish is that countries would act like the many different churches - none of them any longer doing takeovers to be the only church. If you don't like what is happening in your church, you move to another. The difficulty is when people are being horribly abused - do you turn away from them or help them?
