Hi my name is Barbara and anyone who saw the story about sold out last night on the news, well I was one of the people interviewed. The reason why I expressed my voice on this matter is because it is unfair that people who work or are on SSI and want to buy tickets to shows no matter if it is for your child, grandchild, niece, nephew or even a godchild, should have the right to pay what the venue or performer are asking for a tickets, not a scalper or a broker. I found this one site where 12 tickets were being sold for 534.00 dollars a piece, and if you do the math, they are making over a 6 thousand dollar porfit off these tickets. I just want something to be done because it is not fair to break a childs heart because they can't go and see a concert that they want to go to. The sad part is that someone said to go and buy tickets just before the show off these scalpers or brokers. Well I get a small SSI check because of only having about 35precent of my vision, and my niece's mother is a single mother who can't afford that price for a ticket either. I saved all my change this way I would be able to buy two tickets to take her to the Concert, and now a ticket that would of costed me 47 dollars is going for 534,00 dollars to over a thousand dollars. New Jersey has a law against this, but they don't do anything about it. I even wrote to my Senators and Governor, and no one has even answered my letters.
