The sun was shining for Mother's Day but clouds are moving in Sunday night ahead of yet another rainstorm. This is part of the same system which spawned the severe weather in the lower Midwest across to the mid-Atlantic coast. Fortunately, the severe weather will not make it up here but the rain will. The rain may come down hard at times, accompanied by a strong wind off the ocean. Temperatures will struggle to get much above 50 and all in all it will be a miserable start to the work week.

The storm will move away during Monday night and improvement should begin on Tuesday. With the sun returning, expect highs to get back into the 60s. The best of the week will be Wednesday as a sunny sky will get the thermometer close to 70.

Unsettled weather could be returning though during Thursday in the form of clouds and showers. More showers are expected for Friday, too.
