How great is this!?!? Perfect weather for the mid-portion of our three-day holiday weekend. It looks like it will continue through Memorial Day. High pressure will hang on just long enough to bring a mostly sunny sky. Southwest winds will transport even warmer temperatures our way as well. It will likely reach 80 in many places, away from the coast. Parts of New Jersey and the Hudson Valley may even break into the low 80s for awhile. Along the shore and all beaches, the southwest wind will be coming in off 55-60 degree water temps so it will likely turn about 5-10 degrees cooler during the afternoon and evening.

There is a cold front approaching. It's the same one that has been causing havoc out west with severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. It won't be that intense here but showers and thunderstorms are likely from Monday night into Tuesday. Tuesday will be in the 70s and even a bit humid.

The front is expected to push offshore early Wednesday. So any showers leftover during Wednesday morning will give way to clearing by afternoon. A fresh breeze and lower humidity with highs in the 60s. Beautiful weather is expected for Thursday and Friday with highs back into the 70's.
