FINALLY HERE!!

Will it make it a bit safer on the roads of New Jersey ? ? ? ? ?

Will it be a bit safer for me? When I cycle on my bicycle? That is a BIG question.

Will people driving take a BIG chance holding a cell phone (talking/texting) and drive at the same time? Chance of getting a $100 to $130 ticket???

I have been getting close calls by drivers talking on cell phone. Will soon find out during the next few days.

I am glad it is here!! Are you? Or are you one of them people that drives talking and texting while driving???

GREAT TIMING!!!  Becuase I start training for a Multiple Sclerosis bike tour.

SO PLEASE STOP talking and or texting while driving.

I agree. When people talk on there cell phone while driving people don't pay attention as much so I agree with you.

I'm with you BikeMike (i've even blogged about this, too)... I'm going to look into how many tickets were issued for texting or talking on cells while driving.... I'll pass that along once I find out.

Hey BikeMike, good luck with the training. We have Rt 519 designated as a bike route here in Sussex Cty. Even pre-cell phones, I would not even walk on it. NJ drivers are unique.

Wonder if Gov. Corzine's driver is exempt from this law.

ANGELRUBY ....... Past Greater North Jersey MS 100 mile bike tour use to cycle on route 519. Not anymore. The MS 100 now starts and finish in Morristown, NJ.

The tour I am doing in May is mostly along the Jersey Shore. 170 miles over two days. Been doing this tour since 1993. The other tour is in September. Been doing that tour since 1990. Skipping 1993 and 1994.

So I hope this cell phone law makes it safer for everyone and me on the road.

BikeMike on the air everywhere!!!

Bike riders pose a greater threat than someone yapping on a cell phone. Biking on a thoroughfare needs some close examination.
