THOMPSON, the no nonsense, pull yourself up by your boot straps kind of guy. People, we don't need more distractions. Distractions like having a first "black" president. Distractions that come with having the country's first woman president. We don't need to be concerned with what an "evangelical" type of leader is going to do. We don't need a Mr. President that likes putting on women clothes. All of these do have their place in our government, but not when it come to leading the country just yet. Most of the these candidates have an historic agenda floating around in the back of their heads. "America's first this" or "that", we don't need this kind of distraction just now. Besides, every candidate's policy isn't really all that different from the others, Dems. or Reps. We need a president that can handle matters of war and national security. And it don't matter if we are standing and fighting or cut and running. LET THOMPSON do the job, there's no distractions, he will get the job done, and he is NOT even so easily intimidated. So bring on those foreign policies as well..

.............THOMPSON THOMPSON ............. I can see that much, and I am poor.

I am not sure what you mean by your question. Are special needs now not being addressed?
I have a question for you, with all due respect, what do you perceive as a US President's duty? The US Constitution doesn't mention special needs people, welfare people, hositalization, etc. The President is authorized to protect the US citizens from enemies who would do them harm. He makes no laws - that's the Congress' job. He judges no cases - that's the Justice Dept's job.
In my world I want specialists taking care of special needs, of welfare, of health issues, of environmental issues. These are the things that have created BIG government. Government is not the answer to most problems. Government CAUSES more, many more, problems than it solves. Please, let's for once, accept our national elections as serious and limited - DC is not a sugar bowl or a candy dish.
