It's looking like as they get rid of some of the dead weight on Hell's Kitchen there might actually be a chef or two.  Hells Kitchen blog prediction:  Ben will win.  Gordon has been riding him hard.  I think it's his test to see if he can "take the heat and stay in the kitchen".

Is it me or shouldn't Ramsay actually make them kill and clean the chickens?

Jason has turned into a waste of space hasn't he?  How can they think they can get away without learning the menu?  I think he should have been allowed to quit instead of being babied into staying.  At least he got the boot at the end of the episode.  No more Rainman talk this season.

I guess we still have Craig and his chicken hacking skills left to laugh at.  And speaking of laughing, the women attacking each other is remaining entertaining.

Bobby has really disappeared into the woodwork after declaring in episode one that he is the "Black Gordon Ramsey".

The chaos continues on Hell's Kitchen.  Apparently it is difficult for a chef to cut halibut???  And in the end it was Sharon who was sent packing... What do you think?  Was she the right one to go home?

Gordon Ramsay's back with a new cast of wanna-be chefs on the hit show "Hell's Kitchen".

The new season featured a dark fairy-tale like intro that eventually moved into a well produced open with the contestants featured like mice-sized chefs.  It's kind of a foreshaddowing since most of the contestants will feel like disappearing as Ramsay tears into them.

The twist in the opening sequence was a bit of a rip-off from a Tyra Bank's show as Ramsey hid among the contestants in disguise as they were ushered to the set.

A first episode staple of the show is a chance for the chefs to prepare their signature dishes for Ramsay.  You'd think that they would have this dish perfected before the show so they could get it right.  They know they have to prepare it before they go.  It's always amazing that they do so poorly.  Low-lights... a game hen shoved into a pumpkin and sous chef Matt's venison, tartar scallops, caviar and white chocolate.  Ramsay said it was one of the worst things he had ever tasted and couldn't keep it down.

In the end, it was a typical opening-night disaster at the Hells Kitchen restaurant.  The men couldn't even name the entrees.  No one seemed to be able to cook anything.  I've never made risotto but chefs on this show always make it seem like the most difficult dish in the history of cooking.  The men were declared the losers in the end after getting zero entrees out of the kitchen.

Dominic DiFrancesca, a middle school cooking teacher from Rock Hill, N.C., saw was sent home as Chef Gordon Ramsay claimed his cooking apron.

Look for Staten Island's Rosann and Niagara Falls executive chef Bobby to be the most colorful characters of the new season.
