So, what are we doing for Memorial Day weekend???  That's what I want to know.  Studies show that fewer people are traveling the roads as gas prices go up and the economy slides.   Does this apply to the tri-state?  Tell me what your plans are... don't be shy!!!  I promise I won't crash your party.

Ines, aren't we grilling at Reid's house?

I was going to buy him a wii for his birthday so we could play it there. But ToysRUs was sold out of them! It's OK... we can play with the dinosaur robot. =) And watch TV using the remote control (with HUGE buttons) Mike bought for him!

You can crash my party anytime you want Ines!!!

Since the weather is not going to cooperate it looks like it will mostly be an indoor weekend since we are staying local. I will have my two younger daughters (aged 14 and 16) for all three days so I am sure we will have lots of quality shopping time at the malls, always a good thing to do when it is rainy. Maybe, we will see a movie if they want to and we will go out to eat a couple of times. You should come along, it would be a blast!!! Do you have plans, what are you doing?

It was funny when you got Reid with the icing from his birthday cake this morning. He is always a good sport when you and Chistina joke around with him. By the way, what is your birthday? We usually only get to see you from the waist-up but when you went after Reid we got a good look at your pants, nice style for you! They way they flared out gave you a great silhouette. Also, yesterday, we got a great look at your fishnet stockings?/panty hose? thanks to Jodi and Rick pointing them out, very pretty!!! If Christina sends her dress to her blogger you have to send them to me!!! I can't believe Christina gave a shout-out to her loyal bloggers, she is funny! Don't forget me if you ever do the same.

Keep having fun and be good.

Is that the weekend we are Grilling Christina? Is Reid doing the cooking? Men are good at the grill, they were born with that ability.

Wow Kimberly 527, You are going going to the craziest bar!!! Have lots of fun, and becareful.

Suezq54, I have to apologize I called you Suze-Q on air, i miss read your name. A boat to FireIsland, very nice. A boat is such a great thing to have in the summer, to just hang out. Home away from home.

Freda1996: Your kids will understand...You still have the WHOLE summer left.

Shawni90...School on Memorial Day??? Wow, I'm sorry, summer session?

Thanks for the invite, NJDaryl.

IR_Fan, oh you will have fun with the girls. Lots of good movies are out, or coming out. Indiana Jones, especially, though I don't think they will be into it. I saw Ironman, that was great. Chronicles of Narnia is out today. You know what I did to Reid is something we did in our family. Just a Birthday thing. Thanks for the compliment, the pants are Guess! Very comfortable.

Jazmin have fun in Disney, I don't if you saw Anne Craig's report. She was in Disney, checking out the new Toy Story Attraction, and Parade! If you didn't see it, it's on the Good Day page. Tell me how they are? I went last year to Disney...I LOVE IT THERE!

Drack1CBA - sounds like you have a crazy busy weekend..wow.

Tricia that sounds the perfect way to spend the weekend...bbq!!! Yeah Mike, no more rainy weekends, 3 are enough. Talk to your girl Mother Nature. I know we need rain, but there are other days of the week.

How do ya get to Reid's house??? Grillin'! HMMM!
I actually had our pool opened two weeks ago. We have our yard set up like a mini resort. It's fenced in with our water fall and pool on the side of the house, an a covered outdoor kitchen in half of the back of the house. The other half is a meditaton garden with a pond with liy pads, water canna, water irises and all white flowers that seem to illuminate in the dark. Its' very peaceful and a great place to unwind at the end of the day!
We live five or ten minutes from the beach and whe my daughter was younger, we'd meet with a dozen other couples and the kids every Sunday at seven in the AM, There was coffee, bagels whatever. We'd all sit around readin the sunday papers, talking and the fathers would each take a turn at walking with the kids on the beach collecting seashells. By nine or ten o'clock, the beach would start to crowd up and we got in the wind! Every week one or two of the families would come back to our house and shower up, stay the day and hang our in our pool. We never charged them much!! Only kidding....WE CHARGED A LOT!! GOTCHA!!
Wanna know the amazing thing about it? I built the entire deck around the pool, the backyard kitchen and the meditation garden as a mothers day gift for my wife, and the pool deck as a birthday gift for my daughter myself!
I'm from the city, I never did any of that stuff. But with the help of friends, I did it!! Cool huh?
Here's Jersey question for ya....
does everybody still follow the bands down to the shore for the summer?
So for this Memorial day, we're just gon

I'll be barbecuing, Wok cooking, slow cooking pulled pork...hoping that the rainy weather doesn't turn it all into some sorta FUNKY SOUP!!

Sorry 'bout the WAR AND PEACE comment!
What ever happens...enjoy!
