Here's a major little detail that was left out of the story. As someone who lives on the block I can tell you that if these guys forget to put their garbage can out, someone will park there and ILLEGALLY block that person's driveway. Once that is done, it is not possible for the resident to pull into their own driveway. The space between neighboring driveways is simply too small to fit 90% of today's cars. Also, the woman who issued the complaint neglected to inform everyone that she has a relative who is an NYPD officer come over block people's driveways. When the police are called nothing is done because her relative is a fellow Police officer. That is the rest of the story.

FIRST OF ALL THE PERSON WHO IS A POLICE OFFICER IS NOT A RELATIVE SHE IS MY DAUGHTER.SHE LIVES WITH ME AND DOESNT BLOCK ANYONES DRIVEWAY SHE PARKS LEGALLY EVERYDAY THANK U VERY MUCH.AND I CALLED FOX 5 CUZ SOMEONE HAD TO PUT A STOP TO PEOPLE PUTTING GARBAGE CANS INFRONT OF THERE HOUSE PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM PARKING,ALSO TO STOP PEOPLE FROM USING THERE AUTHORITY AS A PORN AND ILLEGALLY PARKING AN OFFICIAL VEHICLE ON THE GRASS.JUST TO LET U KNOW ,WALTER WHO LIVES INFRONT OF THE HYDRANT WHO I KNOW VERY WELL HAS CALLED THE COPS CUZ MY DAUGHTER WHO HAS PARKED INFRONT OF THE HYDRANT WHICH IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN WHO PARKS INFRONT OF THE HYDRANT CUZ IT DOESNT BELONG TO YOU.IF U HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY DONT WRITE ANONYMOUSLY PUT UR NAME OR BETTER YET RING MY BELL N SAY IT TO ME U COWARD. P.S GET A LIFE BESIDES CUTTING UR GRASS.

PEOPLE SHOULD APPRECIATE THAT I AM BRAVE ENOUGH TO PUT A STOP TO THIS PROBLEM.INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING LIKE BABIES OR LIKE GOSSIPERS.NO ONE KNOW THE WHOLE TRUTH OF WHY I DID THIS SO INSTEAD OF JUDGING ME TRY FINDING OUT THE TRUTH FIRST.CUZ OF THIS PROBLEM IT HAS RESULTED IN A GOOD OUT COME AN A SANTITATION CRACK DOWN ON THIS GARBAGE CAN ISSUE IF THE SHOES FITS WEAR IT.I SEE THAT IM THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS A BACK BONES.THANK U.

We have the same problem here in Laurelton on 227th Street between 131st Avenue & 130th Avenue. One neighbor places a construction cone in front of house. He even writes threatening notes to the neighbors, bangs on your door, and has even blown out the tires of visitors to the neighborhood. The other neighbor leaves a car in front of her house that she never uses just to save the space. She parks her other vehicle in front of other neighbors. We've called the Police a few times but they go back to the same sick behavior. These neighborhoods are rarely patrolled by police or ticket agents. So they get away with it. What can we do?

Mr. Deutzman! I would once again like to congratulate you on an investigative report well done! When I tune into my nightly news, I know I can count on you to bring me the latest in who's abusing parking spots, getting hired by the U.N., etc.! Not only that, but I’m always sure I can look forward to the Jerry Springer like entertainment of you getting sprayed with a hose! I’m not one of those New Yorkers who yearn for real investigative reporting; say, progressive insight into political developments, or disclosures of corporate injustice. No! I enjoy, much like yourself (and obvious from your first report on this matter), hounding people who already admit fault, and are quick to change wrongs!

But seriously John, let’s do some real reporting. The MTA is asking for another fare hike, two cranes have failed and killed multiple people in our city, our elected officials are virtually ignoring our reliance on oil… let’s get with it. I’ve posted on your blog before, and I post regularly on others. My point to you and to others is that I would love to see journalism get back to its roots, contain some real significance, and really do some good for our community. Please help in restoring credit to your profession! Don’t go for the easy story and sure-fire ratings! Give us some genuine investigation and new knowledge; really help change your community for the better!

As a Resident of The Block Myself, I moved here a few years ago, and to hear this lady say that she put the house up for sale due to this nonsense is a big fat "LIE". Her house has been in the market before we bought our house, this can be confirmed with the realtor listing the house. Mr. Julio Vargas Moved in a year ago and the House was up for sale then. It's just a Courtesy that we give each other on the block so we don’t block each other’s driveway and when we come home we all have a spot and those that have more than 2 cars don’t hog up all the spots on the block. Since I lived on the block i have not had a problem with any of my Neighbor’s with the courtesy we give each other. The Real truth is that this women has a daughter that "WAS" a police officer, and when someone parks in front of her house She Calls NYPD and have them issue a Ticket and Illegally Tow the vehicle even though it's taking her next doors neighbors drive way "with his Permission" and not her drive way, her Daughter has lost her job because of her abuse of power "Flashing The Badge" and getting cars Towed, Iris is not a Victim but The Culprit to the CHOAS. Since she is looking to Move away because she has problems with about 80% of the block, her Goal is to screw everyone on the block and get the city to Put Alternate Side Parking. Shame on You Iris for Not Telling the Truth and Jeopradizing your Daughter's Career with the NYPD!! Also for not looking out for your daughters best Interest as a Mother Should. Hope your Daugther Can Someday See what you have Caused her...

I totally agree with SHAMEONIRIS. John, shame on you. As a reported you should've research this story better before broadcasting wrong information. You just don't know Iris. She is the wrong person in this block to get the information from. If you go to each house in that block and interview each neighbor you will really get to see who Iris is all about. This lady and her Ex Cop daugher are corrupted and that's why they call you because they are furious and don't have anything better to do and don't know how to get back to people. Her daughter lost her job becuase she is a corrupted cop who follows her mother's advice and many times before used the police power to try to intimidate people in the block. This is why she lost her job becuase people who don't feel intimidated by her reported everything and her daughter got caught. Investigate that case and you will see which story is more interesting, the one that you just broadcast or the story about all the corruptions that Iris and her daughter have done. I urge you to come back to the block, do your homework, interview each and every neighbor and you will really get a very interesting story about Iris and her corrupted daughter and her corrupted family. Iris and her family are all GHETTO and that's the real truth. Nobody can stand her in that block. She is the only problem in that block and no one else. You never hear anything in that block until Iris starts cursing and yelling loud, Im telling you, very GHETTO. People have told me that they are praying for her to sell the house and move out. So the parking

is not the problem here is Ghetto Iris and her family. Iris, you know you lost. Im glad those people put you and your daughter in your place. The abuse you and your corrupted daughter had in this block needed to stop. I'm glad that they disciplined your daughter and gave her what she really deserved. Like shameoniris said, shame on you that you jeopordized your daugherter job and that she stupidly followed your wrong advice and that's why that happened to her. Now I said to you GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY and you are with the DEVIL NOT GOD. God knows all the wrong things that you have done to people and he will never be on your side. Remember, you know you aint' laughing? You know you lost and that's why you call fox. If you were really laughing you didn't have to do this. You are just doing this cause you LOST and you are looking for any little thing to get back to the people who really did what they needed to do to have your daughter removed from being a city cop. I bet you can't even sleep at night. I don't think you are the one laughing other people and they whole neighborhood are. LOL LOL. As for me i will be laughing away at your going away party when yo are sell teh house!!!
