Howzit goin' y'all??  All is good up in here.  I'm in the studios today again, this time because I have to run out of the station to catch a plane to Louisville, KY for our very own Anne Craigs' wedding.  But I am cutting it close today!  My plane flys out of LGA at 10:30am so I've got all of an hour and a half to make that plane.  Yeeoowwzzaa!!

So how are you all planning on making it through the heat this weekend?  Anything exciting?   I'm actually going to be in the KY area where temps will hover around 100 degrees.  Now that's going to sting a little...

So now that I've figured out how to upload video, I hope to bring some wedding video clips to you from Anne's wedding as well as some of some of the shenanigans that  will be happening.  Have a great weekend everyone... And all the best to Anne and her Fiance Chris on their nuptials this weekend!!

Hasta!

Hey Y'all.  I'm trying to become a little more techno savy here.  I'm going to attempt to post a short video clip of me test out a Chevy Corvette I had for Memorial Day weekend.  But I've never posted video clips so lets see how this goes.BTW, this video comes from Memorial Day weekend of course while I had the convertible corvette and ventured around with friends having some fun.  It's also the reason that I came home with a pretty healthy  (or not so healthy) sun tan!
Can you say SPF 30!!??
Cheers

Well as many of you have noticed as of late... I've been out on location most of the time.   But today the kid is back in the studio.  And usually that isn't a good sign for what's going on weather-wise outside.  Today is no exception, trust me on that one.

Showers and storms  rolled into town last night and they continue to hang in the area throughout the day more than likely.  But we can't complain too much since we had a fantastic roll of nice days linked together.  On the up side... you will also get a little break from the heat that was building in too.   Today's highs should drop to the low 70s, about 10-15 degrees cooler than what we had yesterday.  And trust me... you should enjoy these cooler temps while they last because by the weekend highs are near 90 again.  But you know what that means...

Take it off!!!

Have a great one everybody!

So I'm guessing that folks are getting a little tired of all this soggy, cool weather we've seen as of late here in the tri-state.  And what's worse is we have the holiday weekend coming up quickly!  Yes, it's the unofficial start to summer, just a short two days away... Memorial Day Weekend!

And now for the good news.  High pressure will be building in Friday and lasting through the weekend.  What that means for us is this is not only going to be a good weekend, but it's going to be a GREAT ONE!!  Expect a lot of sunshine with highs in the low to mid 70s.  We may even see some upper 70s toward the end of the holiday weekend... but trust me!!  That water out at the beaches is still going to have a nip as it is a little early in the season.  But whatever it is that you plan on doing... enjoy!!!

Good morning everyone!  Just so you know, I'm registering a lot of complaints here at the weather office lately.  Of course I don't control the weather, but who else are you all going to blame for our lousy weather??  And what's worse is that these storms keep falling on Friday and over the weekends.  Yeeaackkk!!!!

Today we have another nor' easter swinging by to the south of the region which will bring us cloudy skies, rain and some wind too.  Luckily this is not a particularly strong so it shouldn't bring us the flooding conditions that we saw on Monday.  That said, it will still be a pretty raw day here in the tri-state.  These shower may delay the subway series which kicks off tonight by the way.  But so long as the rain remains quite light, we should get the game in.

As for the weekend weather...  Saturday should start off decent with partly cloudy skies before the clouds thicken later in the day and eventually  the rain returns.   Expect scattered showers Saturday night into Sunday.  So if you wanted to do something outdoors this weekend, Saturday morning would be your best bet!!

So what's up with all of you this weekend?  Anything exciting?  I'm still on the fence on this one, it's not feeling exactly like Spring or Summer in the tri-state these days.  Oh well, we still have a long way to go there!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hello everyone, and happy Friday!!  We were doing so well with the warmer temperatures and dry weather for so long, and now look!!  Mother's day weekend comes and mother nature wants to send things in the other direction!  Yes, today looks pretty soggy for us with rain continuing off  and on through the day.  As for your temperatures, it will also be a little cool today.  In fact, our highs for the day came very early this morning as cooler air settles into the area.

Now for Mother's Day... It actually doesn't look all that bad.  Today's storm should be out of here by Sunday so we will get some sun in for the first half of the day especially.  Unfortunately there will be yet another storm heading into the picture for us late Sunday.  But again, most of the day will be dry.  No matter what the weather, let's just be good to all the moms out there mother's day and everyday!!

Have a great weekend!!

What's up everyone?  Can you believe I'm back in the studio today??  It seems like it's been forever since I've put on a suit for the show here.  It's kind of nice to play dress up every once in a while.

Speaking of dressing up, I'd say it's time to dress down here in the tri-state.  The warm temperatures are making a comeback with highs going into the mid to upper 70s for the next few days.  I for one plan on pulling out the spring/summer gear from the archives... and maybe this time we can leave that cool weather gear away for good!!  Now I must say, we are going to see rain return to the tri-state regon late Wednesday, then more on Thursday and Friday.  So be ready for that, but then the sun makes a comeback after that... just in time for mothers day weekend!

Hope everyone is doing well today my friends.  And as I'm sure many of you have noticed that I've been out in the field lately doing live weather reports.  So I expect now that the weather is a little warmer I'll see more of you out there for our live reports.  Rigghttt!!!!

Check ya...

High pressure is nosing in from Canada, and the cooler Canadian air means our temperatures will fall back to a cooler range to start off Sunday.  Winds will also come in from the east, off the cooler ocean water also helping to keep our temperatures. down.

On Monday there will be an area of low pressure approaching the area from the Ohio River Valley, however that Canadian high sitting over the northeast will hold strong and keep that area of low pressure from making progress into the tri-state region. Therefore all we will  probably see out of that approaching low will be some additional clouds along with a chance for some very light rain and sprinkles, primarily early in the day.

By Tuesday high pressure is in full control of our weather scenario.  That means we'll see plenty of sunshine without rain making a comeback to the area.  That same area of low pressure will continue to spin towards us, but again the Canadian high will hold strong and keep the clouds and rain away.  Temperatures will remain about where they should be for this time of the year... mainly in the lower 60s.

Wednesday and Thursday also look to be pretty benign days in terms of weather.  High pressure remain in control therefore keeping the dry weather with us for the majority of this upcoming workweek.  By Thursday your high temperatures will make it back up to near 70 degrees which I'm sure many folks will love.

Hello there Everyone!  I see that some of you all missed a brother blogging up on this site.   I do have to say, I've been slack with it all which really shouldn't happen.  But the problem is, I've been out on location most of the time so I haven't had a chance to check in.   And it looks like that will be the way it is for your little weather buddy.  But I'll tell you what... with weather like this, I'm not complaining!!

So today we are going to see sunshine through this busy Friday along with warm temperatures to boot.  Our forecast is calling for a high of 78 degrees today, but it's quite likely that we'll see some folks hitting 80 degrees plus!  Thank goodness for that!  I know I'm ready for it, and I'm ready to pull out the shorts and t-shirts from storage.  OH!!  And by the way... we need you all to pay attention to where it is we'll be broadcasting from for our shows as we go through Spring.  Rumor has it that I'll be sent out a lot more often with the warmer weather coming back.   AND!!  I'll also be doing a lot more exercise/workout segments.  So come on down to see us and join the gang if we are in your area.

Any takers??  Hope to see y'all there...  I believe we'll be somewhere in Central Park this Monday, April 21st... weather permitting.

See ya!

Mikey

And I've returned too!  Howdy Y'all!  Hope everyone is doing well.  I was off on jury duty as many of you may be aware.  But now, it's time to get back to business!

So it looks like we are in for another, typical early spring day here.  I'm thinking we've got partly cloudy skies on the way for us today with highs in the upper 50s.  There will be a slight chance for light rain or sprinkles tonight into tomorrow morning as a weak cold front drags across the area.  But the big deal will be what we are left with for Thursday.  Even though a weak front crosses the area tonight, we actually see warmer temperatures in the area because the very warm southwest flow.  The result will be temperatures getting at least up into the lower 70s.  Yesss!!!

Now for the not so good news... These warm temperatures aren't expected to last for long.  By Friday our next storm system will be approaching the tri-state and showers will develop throughout the area as the day goes on.  More showers and possibly a storm or two will continue through Saturday and then eventually dry out throughout the day Sunday.

So what's new with the peeps out there?  Anything exciting?  I must say, I did enjoy having a little different schedule where you can sleep like a normal person for a while.  But of course I love what it is that I do, so it's great to be back too.  I hope somebody missed me!!!  But I'm sure Melissa did a fantastic job.

Check ya!!
