Hello there Everyone!  I see that some of you all missed a brother blogging up on this site.   I do have to say, I've been slack with it all which really shouldn't happen.  But the problem is, I've been out on location most of the time so I haven't had a chance to check in.   And it looks like that will be the way it is for your little weather buddy.  But I'll tell you what... with weather like this, I'm not complaining!!

So today we are going to see sunshine through this busy Friday along with warm temperatures to boot.  Our forecast is calling for a high of 78 degrees today, but it's quite likely that we'll see some folks hitting 80 degrees plus!  Thank goodness for that!  I know I'm ready for it, and I'm ready to pull out the shorts and t-shirts from storage.  OH!!  And by the way... we need you all to pay attention to where it is we'll be broadcasting from for our shows as we go through Spring.  Rumor has it that I'll be sent out a lot more often with the warmer weather coming back.   AND!!  I'll also be doing a lot more exercise/workout segments.  So come on down to see us and join the gang if we are in your area.

Any takers??  Hope to see y'all there...  I believe we'll be somewhere in Central Park this Monday, April 21st... weather permitting.

SO nice to see you back here. My partner, David, even said 'hey where's your "friend" Mike'....lol....
Thank goodness for the weather being so nice !
Just makes my feel better over all.

Let us know when you will be near Bayridge, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, or Coney Island.

The picture I have of you and I will be 4 years old this coming July, we need a newer one.. :)

Hey Mike...

How are you doing? It's always good to see you on the tube in the mornings...whether you are in a suit or jeans ~ but I bet it was nice to be indoors to change things up a bit. Great suit...great tie...great smile! You give me a reason to get up and go! This weather is soo truly wonderful...it's about time for it too. I am enjoying taking an actual lunch break outdoors...and still having some sunshine when I leave the office. Hmmm...Central Park huh? I'll have to check my schedule for Monday ~ how you want your coffee?

Frankie ~ good to see you! Have you been hiding from us all since Mikey hasn't been here to blog? I hope you and David are well...did you visit Fla yet? Wouldn't it be nice if Mike visited the Ridge...but then again ~ he just might wind up getting Mike-napped. LoL!

Hi Sherry ~

Good to see you as well, sadly David and I cancelled the trip to Florida. He hurt his back at the gym, we have been going to a sports medcine doctor for physical therapy.
We have 1 year credit with the airline to apply to another flight.

I goto the dog park in Bayridge with my 2 dogs, over on 86th street and 7 ave.
We have to get Mike out here.....

Central Park is definitely the place where you want to be reporting on the weather from! Today is going to be incredible. Hopefully, Monday will be as nice. Happy Friday!

Frankie ~ sorry to hear about David. If you need a good chiropractor ~ I know the BEST! He is in Manhattan on 57th St bet 9th & 10th Aves. I've got a seriously bad back...and he is the only one who keeps me walking ~ that is of course when I make the time to go and see him. I never knew there was a dog park over there...well I don't have a dog but I still love to watch them run around and play. I'll have to check it out. And if we can get Mike over there...maybe we'll finally get to well...ummm nevermind. LoL!

Thanks, Sherry! I know the park that Frankie is talking about. It is one of the many great little parks in Brooklyn. My favorite park in Bay Ridge is Owl's head park which I recommend to anybody in the area. Today would be the perfect day to sit on the hill there that overlooks the bay!

whattup everybody im on vacation this week. may go 2 sc 4 a couple of dayz. if not i'd luv 2 check u out mike. it would b nice if u come visit us in the bx. just go home gonna change n go outside 2 play some b-ball or handball whichever comes 1rst when the sun goes down gonna get into something else what dont know yet but im gonna definently enjoy this weather. peace everyone n enjoy this weather chele

TGIF!!!! Hey now everyone...you HAVE to get out there and enjoy this beautiful weather! I am taking my own advice and sneaking out while I can. Everyone enjoy your weekend...tomorrow is supposed to be very nice too ~ so get out there and WORK IT!!!

Mike Woods joined Fox 5 in June 2001 as the morning meteorologist for "Good Day New York" and "Midday News." In addition to providing accurate forecasts, he periodically works as a feature reporter. Woods is originally from Sacramento, California but has been moving all about the country since 1993. His first job landed him in Eastern North Carolina, where he worked as the morning and noon weather anchor. While in North Carolina, he covered several hurricanes, including Bertha and Fran in 1996. Before heading to the Big Apple, he spent some time giving hot forecasts in the deserts of Phoenix, Arizona.Woods graduated from U.C. Davis with a degree in Rhetoric and Communications, and he also has a strong background in meteorology. He is an AMS seal holder and was nominated for an Emmy for best weather forecast for the Southwest region.Woods enjoys racquetball, biking, hiking, snow skiing, water skiing and working out in the gym. He has been featured in Muscle and Fitness magazine in the "Real People" column. Mike also does a lot of charitable work with the community, especially with local schools and children's organizations.
