What's up everyone?  Can you believe I'm back in the studio today??  It seems like it's been forever since I've put on a suit for the show here.  It's kind of nice to play dress up every once in a while.

Speaking of dressing up, I'd say it's time to dress down here in the tri-state.  The warm temperatures are making a comeback with highs going into the mid to upper 70s for the next few days.  I for one plan on pulling out the spring/summer gear from the archives... and maybe this time we can leave that cool weather gear away for good!!  Now I must say, we are going to see rain return to the tri-state regon late Wednesday, then more on Thursday and Friday.  So be ready for that, but then the sun makes a comeback after that... just in time for mothers day weekend!

Hope everyone is doing well today my friends.  And as I'm sure many of you have noticed that I've been out in the field lately doing live weather reports.  So I expect now that the weather is a little warmer I'll see more of you out there for our live reports.  Rigghttt!!!!

Hi Mike ,
So nice to see you back in the studio, and back on the blogs.
Even my partner said to me " hey where's your buddy Mike" LOL

I welcome this weather, we will get through this rain, as long as it's nice for Mothers Day.

When are you headed out to Brooklyn?
Bayridge/Bensonhurst/Bath Beach.

The picture that I took of you and I will be 4 years old this July , we need a newer one.

It was great seeing you back in the studio with your suit on, but I'd rather see you in casual clothing acting a fool. You brighten my mornings every morning and even if the sky is grey you bring sunshine.. You are awsome keep up the good work

Hey Whats good Mike? We see that Fox has been keeping you busy out in the field, which is good, being that you enjoy hanging out there with your peeps. One of these days Imma run into you, with my camera of course. Until then I can always catch you on the tube. BGNJ69 is right, keep up the good work! :)

hey mike ur right its ok 2 play dress up every 1nce in a while especially how good u look. im enjoyin' the beautiful weather hope y'all r as well glad the sun will b out this wknd. unfortunantly i lost my mother 2 yrs ago but happy mother's day to all you mothers out there as well as the members in my family who r mothers( ill c them) til tom. peace everybody chele

Thanks for the love everyone. And it looks like we are going to get lucky once again with this whole weather thing. Ya gotta love this stuff. Unfortunately the allergies are a bit of a problem for a lot of us... myself included from time to time.
Enjoy the day everyone!! And by the way, keep an eye out for me in Central Park Thursday working out again. Gotta get them bodies ready for summer dagnabbit!! :)

AAAHHHHHH! OK CALM DOWN! Now I know this is a weather blog but of topic-- your boy Mystro just won tickets to the Mary and Jay-Z concert tonight @ MSG!! Thanks to Power 105.1 Don't worry I'll post the pics of course.AHHHHHHH!

But back to business...it's nice out there. Umm perfect night for a concert...LOL! PARTY!!

WHEW!! Thanks Chele! WHAT A SHOW- that was my first concert and I had a BLAST!!There were appearances Beyonce, Diddy, Busta, Method Man, Memphis, Swizz Beatz, Dream, Russell Simmons, --I even sat near Gayle (Oprah's friend-and she waved at me...lol...I will never forget that night)Alright now that I've finished rubbing it in- :) can help it- I was excited! Check out my pics, now unfortunately I was sooo into the show and was feeling "good", I took few pictures. As the concert went on we worked our way closer to the stage-hence the closer pics.

Tomorrow is gonna be RAINY--yeah another break for we allergy sufferers.

Mike Woods joined Fox 5 in June 2001 as the morning meteorologist for "Good Day New York" and "Midday News." In addition to providing accurate forecasts, he periodically works as a feature reporter. Woods is originally from Sacramento, California but has been moving all about the country since 1993. His first job landed him in Eastern North Carolina, where he worked as the morning and noon weather anchor. While in North Carolina, he covered several hurricanes, including Bertha and Fran in 1996. Before heading to the Big Apple, he spent some time giving hot forecasts in the deserts of Phoenix, Arizona.Woods graduated from U.C. Davis with a degree in Rhetoric and Communications, and he also has a strong background in meteorology. He is an AMS seal holder and was nominated for an Emmy for best weather forecast for the Southwest region.Woods enjoys racquetball, biking, hiking, snow skiing, water skiing and working out in the gym. He has been featured in Muscle and Fitness magazine in the "Real People" column. Mike also does a lot of charitable work with the community, especially with local schools and children's organizations.
