Lord, You Are

To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to? (NIV) Isaiah 40:18
Lord, You are
...a faithful God who does no wrong
...a forgiving God
...a fortress of salvation
...a glorious crown
...jealous and avenging God
...a Master in heaven
...a refuge for His people
...a refuge for the needy in his distress
...a refuge for the oppressed
...a refuge for the poor
...a sanctuary
...a shade from the heat
...a shelter from the storm
...a source of strength
You are always right and good
...no sin is beyond Your forgiveness
You and only You are salvation
...You are the King
You alone are to be worshiped
...You are my Lord and my God
You are my security
...You are a safe place when I am in trouble
You are the safest place I know
...You are like a cool breeze in the midst of heat
Only in You do I find strength
...You are strong in my weakness
O Lord, You are all that I am not. You are the strength that I do not have. You are the love that I need. O Lord how can I ever tell You how much I love You? How can words express the deep feelings of gratitude I have for You. Only in You will I ever find enthusiasm for life, for sharing Your Word, and for serving others. Keep showing me more of Yourself!

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever. (NIV) Isaiah 40:8
God's Word truly does stand forever. Personally, I don't want to depend on anything or anyone else, but God and His Word! Not other men or even men's opinions about God's Word! Who are you listening to? Are you digging into God's Word and finding Truth for yourself? Or are you depending upon what others to give you? depending upon others to explain God's Word? Are you depending upon a pastor to show you God through His Word? or a teacher? or a radio personality? your spouse? a friend? Those who teach us from the Bible are important, but God also wants you to get into His Word for yourself. . . spend time in the Bible. . . wrestle with what He is saying to you through His Word. . . and I promise you, you'll never be the same!
Do you need strength today? or wisdom? Do you need God's Spirit to be your counselor today? Your Spirit to comfort me. . .Your Spirit to be my advocate. . .Your Spirit to be my peace. . .Your Spirit to be my confidence. . .Your Spirit to give me courage. . .

BANG!!!!!!......
In the Beginning There was nothing, Nota, Zip, Zilch, and from this nothingness this great explosion happened then…………
Then What?
Then we had Birds, cats, dogs, flowers, trees, butterflies, and the marvels of the human body
Wait a minute, that don’t sound right. I think I would be insulting your intelligence with that explanation.
Ok hold on, Millions of years ago this explosion happened and from this explosion there was this brown liquid that formed on this rock and over millions of years the liquid hardened into a rectangular shape, Then over a few million more years this paper wrapper formed and wrapped itself around this brown rectangular object then millions or years later this ink formed on it and the letters C-A-N-D-Y formed on the wrapper this is how a candy bar evolved???????????
Wait, Wait, Wait!!
I must think your gullible, every one knows when you look at a candy bar there had to be a maker. So your logic should conclude that when you look at creation there had to be a creator.
And if there was a creator (God), then that means that we are morally responsible for our action. But how do we know what God requires of us. Well there was a man named Moses that God had called to Mount Sinai and on this mountain God gave him 2 very special tablets most people know them to be called the Ten Commandments and they are the laws that God gave us to know what is right and what is wrong. For Paul said: I would have not known sin, But by the Law! But God went a step further he took that same Law and wrote it upon our hearts, it is called the conscience. So lets go through a few of these commandments and see if our conscience will let us know whether we have broken Gods laws
* The 9th Thou shalt not bare false witness (this means to lie) Have you ever told a lie?
* The 8th Thou shalt not steal Have you stolen anything regardless of the value?
* The 3rd Ever used Gods name in vain (if you are not talking about Him or to Him)?
* The 7th Thou shalt not commit adultery. But look what Jesus said If you look at a woman to lust after her you have committed adultery already in your heart. Have you ever lusted after anyone?
If you have answered yes to these commandments then God sees you as a Lying, Thieving, Blasphemer & an Adulterer at heart and the Bible says that on Judgment day you would be guilty of breaking his laws. The Bible says that all liars would have there part in the lake of fire. So if you are guilty of just that one, the Bible says you will go to Hell for Eternity!
That is not Gods will. He made a way for you to be forgiven. He sent his Son Jesus, born of a virgin, perfect sinless man, to this earth to pay for your sins. He was beaten and crucified, put to death for you. So that you would not have to go to Hell and pay your own debt for breaking Gods law! Then 3 days later He rose from the Grave so that we would have Eternal Life!
But how do you claim this free Gift God has given you?.. What you must do is confess and not only confess but turn from your sin (not having a desire to sin anymore) and then you must trust in Jesus Christ as your savior, the one that paid your debt in full. Not just believe in him but trust him like you would trust in a parachute when jumping from a plane. When you do that the Bibles says He will change you into a new creation and you will have a desire to please Him and He will grant you eternal life! So repent today (make Psalms 51 your personal prayer) and trust in Jesus alone for your salvation. Then read your bible everyday and obey what you read. (Start with the book of John). God will never let you down!

This is a wake-up call.
No, wait, this is the truth.
Wait, wait, this is real.
But how many will actually take note and make their lives better and truly appreciate all the good things that God has given us - especially his son Jesus? ? ? ?

This was to show how silly it is to believe in evolution.
The Gospel is clearly stated in the post.
It is not about how happy a person is.
It is about what God requires.
He said, He commands everyone everywhere to repent, and to repent you have to know that you have broken His perfect Law (the Ten Commandments) or you will not know what you are repenting from.
As far as taking notes and making there lives better that won't do you any good changing your life is not what makes you fit for heaven.
It is repenting away from the things in this world to the things of God and then-- (This is the most important part) Putting your complete trust in Jesus Christ, it was His death that brings life to the sinner It is His death that paid the penalty for the laws that we broke and to accept that gift you must trust in what He did at the Cross. Nothing you can do will please God except your faith (trust) in Jesus the Son of God!
For by Grace you are saved through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God. Lest anyone can boast.(Eph 2:8,9)
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God. Do not be deceived. No fornicators, nor Idolaters, no Adulterer, Nor Homosexual, Nor Sodemite, Nor Thieves, Nor Covetous, Nor Drunkards, Nor Revilers, Nor Extortionist, Will inherit the Kingdom of God.(1st Cor. 6:9,10)
You must be born again or you will not see the kingdom of heaven.(John 3:3)
so you see if you call yourself a Christian and still cling to the things in this world then you have not truly repented and without true repentance there

is no salvation.
we are to be in the world but not part of the world.
The bible says if we are a friend of the world we are an enemy of God and if the love of this world is in us then the love of the Father (God) is not in us.
If we say we put are hands to the plow and look back (desiring the things of this world) then we are not fit for the kingdom.
So you see He just does not want you to make you life better and appreciate the good things you have been given. He wants you to turn from your sin (not having a desire to sin any longer)which is called repentance and put your trust in him once you have done this he promised you would have joy unspeakable even if you had nothing and lived in an ally. You still would have joy because you would have a relationship with Jesus.
Paul said that even though he had lost everything (because he was once very well off before his conversion) and he was beaten striped without clothing most times and imprisoned and beaten he still had a joy in his heart that overcame all of the pain in this world because he knew his Lord and that his name was written in the book of life.
So don’t be deceived about the “God wants you to have a prosperous life Gospel” because that is not what the bible says his The Gospel is the same and like God never changes. Repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ. And you will not see death but pass from death unto life.
He who has the Son has life but he who has not the Son does not have life.
Please consider what I am saying.
Thank you

I can always appreciate multiple sides to an argument, but you clearly discredit yourself and what you preach by making comments like "This was to show how silly it is to believe in evolution."
Not to mention the misrepresentation of the dichotomy between God and Jesus.
Furthermore if God did create the marvels of this world and all potential others then why would God consider an individual to be unrepentant by taking enjoyment or “clinging” to tangible worldly materials?
Minister_G

How did I discredit myself?
It takes more faith to believe in evolution then to Believe there is a God.
Evolution says that everything happened by chance. Fist off besides it going against all logic and physics it is an absolute mathematical impossibility.
When have you ever seen additional information add to the genome that would explain the progression of evolution? Can you answer that? If you can then you are smarter the Dr. Hawkins, because he has no idea how to answer this. Science has only proved one thing is that the information in the genome disappears and gets corrupted over time not more in order as evolutionist think.
Which brings us back to the original law of physics Entropy everything works it's way to chaos not to order.
2nd you might want to take the time to understand Doctrine before you go trying to explain it. God did create a perfect sinless world but what Adam and Eve sinned against him it brought death to not only them but to all of creation. We are to be in the world but not of the world.
If you love this sinful fallen creation that man brought on himself, then the love of the Father is not in you. If you love the world and the sinful worldly materials it has then you do not love God and therefore are an enemy of God through evil works. This world is in the condition it's in because of Mans rebellion against God. God did not create this man did with his rebellion.
There I answered your question now listen. If you love your sins so much that you can't turn to God in sorrowful repentance and accept what he did for you as payment for tha
Minister_G
Sep 26, 2008 | 5:13 PM
that rebellion then you will have to pay for you own crimes against God and that place is Hell.
It is appointed a man once to die then after this the judgment and if you stand before God on judgment day still in your sins he being completely righteous and Good has to be just and give you the due punishment for that rebellion and that is hell.
But He did not want to give you hell. He loves you. Enough to send his own Son, Jesus Christ to take the punishment that you deserve so he can dismiss your case because the fine has been paid with he very Son. and if you will Repent and trust in what he did for you as your payment in full God will forgive your sin because the payment of death has been satisfied in his Son.
He wants repentance toward God and faith in his sons sacrifice for your behalf and if you don't want to do that there still has to be a payment for rebellion so you will elect by denying him to pay for it your self.
Don't be a fool you never know how much time you have tomorrow death could seize you. 150,000 people die everyday don't risk taking your last breath not knowing were you will open your eyes
He want to give you life a not death
Repent today and trust in Jesus Christ

Horses and Chariots

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD. (NIV) Isaiah 31:1
Israel, under the leadership of King Hezekiah, once again ignored warnings from God and from history, and went their own way. In terms of protection, the people chose to place greater value on Egypt's alliance and army than on the living God. They did not look to God for protection nor seek His help.
Today we wouldn't rely on horses or chariots for security, but we still have the tendency to rely on things seen, rather than on the living God!
What are your horses and chariots? What are you depending upon instead of trusting God? Money? A secluded neighborhood? Your income level? Your good health? A pollyanna attitude? Your intelligence? Your job security? Your retirement fund? Your spouse? Your inheritance?
No matter what you're depending upon, if it is anything other than God, expect to be disappointed! There is nothing in life that is dependable and unchanging in nature other than God Himself!

I know that you have attended this Tabernacle ever since it was built, and listened to our ministry for years; but boast not of that; away with that as a ground of trust; pull off that garment. You have never failed in business; you have brought up your children well; you never swear; you were never a drunkard; midnight orgies never saw you mixed up in them; this is well, but I pray you, put not on this as your proper dress: the proper dress for a sinner to go to Christ in, is sackcloth and the rope. “Well,” says one, “I never will acknowledge that I deserve to be damned!” Then you never will be saved. “Well,” says another, “I never will take the language of a great sinner upon my lips.” Then you shall never be saved; for unless you are willing to confess that God may justly damn you, God will never save you; but if you feel in your heart to-night, that if He sends your soul to Hell, His righteous Law approves it well ; if you wonder how it is that you are not in the pit, and marvel why such mercy should have been shown to you, come, brother, come; come as you are, for you wear the true court-dress of a sinner. When a beggar goes out to beg at the door, should he put on a new black coat, and a clean white cravat, and kid gloves. Nay, verily, let him clothe himself in tatters — the more rents he has the better — for tatters are the livery of a beggar, and rags are the court-dress of a mendicant. So, come in your sins; come in your doubts; come in your hardness of heart; come in your impenitence; come in your deadness; come in your lethargy; come as you are — foul, vile, filthy, waiting for no amendment, but with a rope upon your neck, and a garment of sackcloth about your loins; come now, come now; God help you to come. – Charles Spurgeon

God's Standards of Love

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. (NIV) 1 Corinthians 13:4-5
How do you measure up against God's standards for love?
When was the last time you lost your patience? this morning? last night? 2 days ago?
When was the last time you said an unkind word? made an unkind action? had an unkind thought? purposely withheld kindness?
When was the last time you wanted what someone else has? their money? their looks? their health? their spouse? their children? their parents? their home? their faith? their knowledge? their personality? their lifestyle?
When was the last time you were boastful? you brought attention to yourself? you brought attention to your family? you bragged about what you have accomplished? you exaggerated about what you've done?
When was the last time you got angry? lost your temper? screamed at your kids? screamed at your spouse? got angry with a check out clerk or serviceman? What causes you to "blow up?" How do you handle your anger?
When was the last time you held a grudge? kept track of how someone has treated you? Do you refuse to apologize until the guilty party confesses their wrong? When you forgive others, do you truly attempt to not hold the wrong against them? Do you comfort them after forgiveness?
How do you measure up against God's standards for love?
Finish the Race

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (NIV) Hebrews 12:1-3
Once the author of Hebrews tells us how to run, he turns our focus to the finish line. We are to focus on the Finisher, Jesus. Why do we fix our focus on Him? Because He is the author and perfecter of our faith. The Author - the Originator, the Founder, the Leader, the First, the Beginning. He is the initiator of our faith. And He is the Perfecter - the Finisher, the One who reached the goal. He started it all and He finished His task. Jesus endured.
Where was Christ's focus? It was on His goal: first the cross, then the throne. The result was joy. Joy in knowing He was returning to His Father. Joy in defeating sin and death once and for all. Joy in knowing that someday we would live in eternity with Him!
We are told to consider Him, consider Jesus. Think about Him, meditate about Him, learn about Him, and seek after Him. So that when you grow weary, when you are tempted to lose heart and when you are exhausted in the middle of the race, you can focus on the finish when you meet Him face to face! The exhilaration will be greater than entering the Olympic stadium at the end of the marathon. . .the roar of the crowd will be deafening. . .there will be cheering and applause as Heaven expresses its approval.
So where is your focus? Fix your eyes on Jesus and race with long obedience in the same direction. . .until you reach the end. . .taking one step after another. . .running the race for an audience of One, Jesus!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (NIV) Hebrews 12:1
To win the race it takes more than just running with endurance. The author of Hebrews writes that we are to throw off everything that hinders us. We are to get rid of all encumbrances and entanglements. An encumbrance is excess weight for the runner. The Greek custom was to strip off clothes to run unencumbered. They wanted to get rid of anything that hindered their progress.
We are also instructed to throw off every entanglement, anything hindering or preventing progress toward spiritual maturity. Specifically we are to "throw off" the sin that entangles us. Notice that this is not something God does, this is what we do daily. For us, in our race of faith, encumbrances could be procrastination, lack of mental discipline, impatience, not forgiving others, indifferent attitudes, jealousy, gossip, selfish ambition, or any sin that God brings to your mind.
It is Christ's death on the cross that enables us to come to Him, confess and repent our sins, (lying, stealing, coveting and lusting) and claim forgiveness by trusting in Jesus christ alone for salvation and not your own efforts and etenal life will be yours. A look back with acknowledgment of what Christ has done for you will motivate you in your forward progress in your own race of faith. Looking back to the Cross is the motivation to keep looking to the future...to run with endurance.
The Perfect Mediator

Every high priest is selected from among men and is appointed to represent them in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. (NIV) Hebrews 5:1
The word, priest, communicates the idea of standing up for another (Deuteronomy 10:8) or spiritually speaking, being the mediator between God and man (Hebrews 5:1). Christ is the mediator for all believers (Hebrews 9:15, 12:24). Ideally, a mediator should share in the natures of both of the parties that are involved. In Christ's case, He needed to have both divine and human natures; thus, the importance of Christ's humanity. If Christ had not become an actual man, He could not have sincerely represented mankind.
The Divinity of Christ
** The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. (NIV) Hebrews 1:3
** In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (NIV) John 1:1
The Humanity of Christ
** Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death-- that is, the devil-- (NIV) Hebrews 2:14
** The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. (NIV) John 1:14
Jesus Christ is the perfect mediator of the new covenant. . . perfectly representing God and man.
What role has our Perfect Mediator played in your life?

Someone in the News posting section wrote about how the ran into some scientist that told them in 1979 that one day funds and people could be tracked electronically with microchips being placed in people and on you cards and things that sounds pretty cool but it is just one step closer to a one world controlling government

INDEPENDENCE DAY - AM I INDEPENDENT?
Jul 4, 2008 | 9:46 AM

Do I have independence? Yes, success is mine this year! Dependence on using credit cards was my focus in 2000. By 2003 - they were all paid off and since then whenever they were used, they were paid in full at the end of that month. 2004 - found I had the need, the dependence, to keep working on the problems of others so that I didn't have the time to take care of my stuff.
This 2008 - I do believe I have my life in balance, independence. Hurray!
Have you noticed that more and more freedoms are being taken away from us? More and more rules and laws? I am thankful that on July 4th, 1979, I helped a man whose car broke down. He was a scientist working for a major company. He gave me advice for the future that I have found is becoming true. I had my doubts when I heard all this.
His company was working on a chip that would be inserted in the wrist of all babies born in this country so that government can keep an eye and locate anyone, anywhere and have all data of them in that chip. (Oh yea, I thought then, not possible.)
He continued - remember this was told to me in 1979:
1. All paychecks would be automatically transferred from your job to your bank account to easily keep track of the money of everyone,.
2. A plastic card would replace cash also containing all your pertinent data.
3.. Chips inserted in pets would be the way to introduce the chips to us so we would not be afraid of them.
4. Then the chips introduced to the humans with medical problems - inserted into their wrist with all their medical data contained in them and who knows what other data.
5. All babies born to have a chip inserted into their wrists, mandatory, by law - for your safety. Anyone at anytime can be located. Need cash, just swipe your wrist in front of a machine and it is there, or not, if the government is looking for you.
I did not want to believe this. But, even then, a lot of things I did not want to believe would happen, have happened. So I put this information on a back burner in my memory.
Number 4 is already in action. Lilly just told me that in Fla. if you have a family member with Alzheimer's , you can have a chip inserted in their wrist so that they could be found if they wander off. I do not believe that there is a machine for us to use to verify what data is being stored in that chip.
I see the good in some cases. But, like the drugs being sold to us, what are the side effects? Are they worse than the cure? Are we becoming completely "dependent" on the government, instead of being in control of ourselves, using the wonderful organ that is above the shoulders of each and everyone of us? --- Angleruby
This is a very interesting post, Funny how what your describing was foretold in the Bible. Read Daniels, and Revelations. Everything that is happening is happening now. From technologies quickly increasing, to the economical crunch and possible collapse, to the tracking of people using microchips, the financial monitoring and the way that a days wage is needed to just fill you gas tanks. Check it out. It’s all in there, I did not need a scientist to tell me these things were coming all I needed to do is open the Word of God. The monitoring of people’s locations and the fact it will come to pass that you will not be able to buy or sell without the chip is coming the bible call it the mark of the beast. That in these times things would be so expensive it would be hard to make ends meet, The Bible described it as a measure of wheat for a penny, meaning it would cost a days wage just to buy the basic things we would need. So yes, I see these things and many more things that was described in the bible happening all around us today, and just like Jesus told us, that we are so busy with the things happening around us we do not see the signs of the times. He said when you see this thing coming to pass that his return is close, even at the door.
Are you ready??

The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand. (NIV)
Isaiah 14:24
Over the last few months we've heard candidate after candidate make promises about what he or she will do if elected to office. The elections in the US will change the future of individual candidates, of communities, of states, and of our nation. Some who thought they would be spending the next 2 to 6 years in Washington will disappointedly be staying home. Others who may not have thought they would win an elected position, will be serving in new offices. Communities and states will experience changes as their elected officials determine policies and laws for their citizens. And our country will experience change as well. With every election, the future changes. Isn't it comforting that our eternal future is not determined by votes!?! And isn't it comforting to know that our future in Heaven is secure in the unchanging promises of God.
** Jesus said: "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." (NIV) John 3:36
** And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-- to the praise of his glory. (NIV) Ephesians 1:13-14
** Jesus said: "And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." (NIV) John 6:39-40
** Jesus said: "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." (NIV) John 10:28-30
** Jesus said: "For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him." (NIV) John 17:2
I don't know about you, but when it comes to my future. . . my eternal future. . .I'm banking on the unchanging promises of God!
