Parts of the area may still see a shower or thunderstorm early this evening otherwise a warm and somewhat humid night is ahead for the tri-state area with some clouds around from time to time. The low temperature for Midtown will be 68 degrees with 58-65 degrees across the suburbs.
Tuesday will turn out to be similar to today with sunshine along with some clouds that may build up into an isolated shower or thunderstorm later in the afternoon and early evening. High temperatures will rise into the low 80s with 75-80 along the coast. Expect some patchy clouds to be around for Tuesday night as the low temperature heads down to 69 degrees in Midtown and around 60 degrees for the coolest suburbs.
The nicest days of this week will be Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure builds in from the southwest. We'll have lots of sunshine each day and with a more westerly wind temperatures will on the warmer side. High temperatures each day will be in the mid to upper 60s.
By Independence Day, a storm system will begin to approach from the west. It will turn a bit more humid ahead of this system as a combination of sun and clouds develops along with the threat of showers and thunderstorms later Friday into Friday evening. We'll be able to time these out better the closer we get to Friday to see how they may impact fireworks displays for Friday night. High temperature will be in the low to mid 80s.
More of the same is expected for Saturday but there will be more clouds than sun along with a greater chance for showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. High temperatures will be in the low 80s.
