For planning ahead…next weekend we have the 6th Annual Big Apple BBQ right here again in Madison Square Park. It’s on Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th from 12pm-6pm. Big Bob Gibson from Alabama will be here again…his pulled pork is outrageous! There are many other fantastic BBQ Pittmasters in attendance…so you should check it out!!! Make sure to check with the Fox Weather Authorities to find out which will be the better day to check out the BBQ. But hey…even if it rains ~ the food will still knock your socks off!!!

After a particularly long and arduous weekend I slowly turn over in my bed to peek out the window...and my eyes see these little puffs of white floating. I rub my eyes because my brain is thinking I am just seeing things...but no! I see SNOW?!? Early on Monday morning on the 19th day of November. SNOW!!! I quickly turn on my TV to see Mike Woods confirm that Northern Jersey is having some snow passing....smiling as I see him in his suit and happy he is in the studio instead of manning the mic on the street...then groaning knowing that this morning's commute will be less than pleasant. It would be a great day to call out from work and just lay watching the snow from my nice warm bed...but sadly I must force myself out and brave the day.
Though a part of me truly loves the fall...I admit the only time I love the snow is when I get to stay indoors and watch it. Or if I were...say in the woods with a nice fireplace. But snow...of any sort on the streets of NYC are never a fun way of commuting. I am happy I got to see my first snow of the season while still laying in my bed...and find it so funny to not see any traces of it at all once I walk out of the doors at the Port Authority...almost making me think I imagined the whole thing. Luckily it is not cold enough for it to really stick.
So...my dear Mr. Mike Woods ~ please tell me you are holding some good weather in your pocket for me for Saturday. I need some Good Moving Day weather!!! I know you can do it...smooth talk Mother Nature to bring out the sun. Maybe my pneumonia will finally get under control too. So far the kickoff to fall has not been kind to me...so I am hoping a change in location will change that for me.
Peace & Hugs...
