Do you think the construction worker who buried a Red Sox jersey under the site of the new Yankee Stadium should face criminal charges?

I don't think he should face criminal charges because when the Yankees take the AL East that will be punishment enough.

Absolutely NOT! So far this year, I'd say the Yankees need all the help they can get!

It's ridiculous that he was able to bury whatever junk he wanted without any obstacle; he could have buried some detonation device or poisonous chemicals under the site just as easily. Just for attempting to attempting to bury something foreign and unregulated into the ground he should face criminal charges, even if it was just a jersey.

I say, YES charge him. But what are we going to charge him with? I see no current law on the books that we can charge him with.Public mischief? a slap on the wrist. Forget it.

If we're going to prosecute people for little things like that,we should prosecute people for every little thing they do wrong...

Wat a waste of time $ and a news story. Who cares? Are the Yankees really scared of a Jersey? If u ask me the guy already won. He's a Hero to RED SOX NATION, and slowed construction on Yankee Stadium, they actually spent 6 hours to dig up a jersey. GIVE ME A BREAK.

This contruction worker should not face criminal charges. He has every right to root for any team he wants.

I think the Yankee organization has gone a little too far in this matter.

I think that it is not a big deal and there should be no criminal charge because I think he is going to have enough punishment by his Nabors and the rest of ny

No, but he should have to pay the cost of digging it up, and be made to wear Yankee jersey at a game between Yanks and Sox, in the new stadium..

This has got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard, and for the DA to waste the peoples time and money to prosecute someone for burying a shirt would really be a travesty.

This is completely rediculous. I wish that the burying of this Jersey was the cities biggest problem. Come on NY. GROW UP!!!!!!!!

Yes he should be prosecuted, and also the supervisor who hired him, because as easily as he planted a red sox jersey is as easily a terrorist could of buried a bomb.

I swear if my Tax money goes towards prosecuting this man, I am leaving the country. This is absurd! Ever hear of a prank, look into the original yankee and shea stadium. The beams are full of messages and engravings from the construction workers

He will most likely face a civil penalty for his actions. I'm amazed how fast they unearthed this shirt. Is Giant's stadium next for Hoffa? GO METS!!!
