Is seeing the calorie count on menus going to make you think twice before ordering?

I have always checked the nutritional count when SHOPPING for food. It's about time they included it on menus. Now I have and educated choice. I'll just have to think ONCE!!!Bob Oceanside NY

calorie counting is for home when you go out have a good time and indulge, isn't that why you go out in the first place not to worry and have fun.

This information can be a tie-breaker...you're trying to choose between two things, and you see that one has a lot more fat/calories than the other...decision made!

I didn't think it would matter, but Starbucks has been posting calories for a few weeks now, and I definitely have made certain choices because of it. For example, the other day I was shocked to see that a piece of lemon cake was almost 500 calories... so I chose the apple something or other that had 195 calories.

I will be looking more at the high food prices than any calorie count.

I will be more concerned with the price of the food I am buying rather than the calories. I can work the calories off when I exercise. I think it is really stupid unless the cities and states pay for the additional cost.

I may or may not change my eating habits. However, it's good to have that kind of information available so that you can make a choice if you so desire. Remember, obesity is a major problem among our youths.

It will make me think twice. There are so many people who don't know how many calories are in an item and now they will be aware of what they are eating.

I was counting calories with a goal for a year, and it works, and holding at 170 pounds. You get to know your count . Eating out means lose the book, and look at the prices . McSeven, Staten Island, New York

I recently started monitoring my calorie intake more seriously, even though I don't live in the city, I think that it's a great idea. If only they could MAKE people read this information.

I am not the kind of person who will stop just because of how many calories are in food, so eat what I want, but hey why not I am 19 and skinny.

NO! I WANT TO GO OUT AND EAT WITHOUT HAVING THE CONTENTS OF MY FOOD IN FRONT OF ME! WE ARE BECOMING OBSESSED WITH THIS AND YES, I KNOW IF I WANT A CHEESE BURGER WITH FRIES I'M TAKING IN MORE FAT AND CALORIES; BUT LET ME ENJOY IT! HELLO PEOPLE, ONCE IN A WHILE IT'S OKAY TO EAT WHAT YOU WANT...JUST DON'T MAKE IT A DAILY HABIT!

If I eat at McDonalds it is because I am looking at the price menu and not the calorie menu.
