Say what people might about Perez Hilton, I think he's a super cool guy. He figured out how to capitalize (as in make money, become famous, etc.) on the Internet way before many people.
And the other reason I like him so much: he agreed to do a Web Exclusive interview this morning before he appeared on Good Day NY.
Good Day LIVE Online host Brett Larson asked Perez several questions including what his celebrity disaster predictions are for 2009. Check out the video for the answers.
How exciting for Rosanna with her new puppy LuLu. I was watching the morning show on Monday Jan. 5th when I heard that she had adopted a new puppy, a BLEEP-a-poo. LuLu is really cute and I'm sure she'll turn out to be a great dog. Because I train dogs for a living I have to remind everyone that training is the most important part of a puppy's life. It is so tempting to just hug and play with a new puppy but they love to work too. By making training fun the puppy will learn that much faster. Showing a puppy from the very beginning right from wrong will make everyones life a lot easier in the future. It's also very important to not forget about the other pets in the house. Showing too much affection to the new arrival can sometime cause problems within the pack, always share equal time with each of them. I have three labs and they all get along well.
Doing things with your dog is also very important, socializing is a key factor to a great dog. I'm sure you've heard people say, "If my dog gets loose all I have to do is open the car door and in he'll go." Dogs love to travel just like their ancestors, so when you can take your dog with you. For the most part I can take my dogs just about anywhere. Because they are well behaved people love to see them. I have to say, I 'm special because of my dogs. For example, people will talk to you easier if you have a dog especially a dog everyone enjoys being around. When I go on set with my dog Tilly everyone is so please to see her which makes the day enjoyable and time flies. Training a dog is not as time consuming as everyone might think. Because puppies like children have a short attention span, it's best to train in short intervals of 5 minutes or less. And only work on one command a week otherwise a puppy gets confused. Well I wish Rosanna the best of luck with her new puppy, I miss having a new puppy they are so fun.
I want all my fellow bloggers to watch this show on VH1. Many of you are suffering from the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. A few people in the Fox5 news department need this real bad.
The second season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew is over,
but the Rehabbers’ lives are just beginning. VH1 will document their
continued effort to stay sober in a new spin-off, Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House, premiering Thursday, Jan. 15 at 10/9c.
At the end of the first season of VH1’s Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew,
each cast member was given the opportunity to spend three months living
in a sober house as they transitioned from a rehab facility to the real
world and many of them quietly took advantage of the opportunity. The
cast from season two are also being given that same opportunity…and
this time it will be filmed.
Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House is an eight-episode, one hour series that is set to premiere on Thursday, January 15 at 10pm. Moving into the Sober House will be Rodney King, Nikki McKibbin, Steven Adler and Amber Smith from Season 2 of Celebrity Rehab, Seth “Shifty” Binzer and Mary Carey from Season 1 and comedian Andy Dick who will join the show a few episodes in.
Returning from Celebrity Rehab to help Dr. Drew in the Sober House is counselor Bob Forrest and program assistant, William Smith. Joining them will be resident “house mother,” Jennifer Gimenez who has battled her own drug and alcohol demons. Jennifer, an actress in her own right who has starred in such films as Blow and Vanilla Sky, will live at Sober House to keep everyone on the clean and sober path to a healthy and successful life.
For two seasons, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew chronicled
celebrity patients as they underwent an intensive 21-day detoxification
and rehab program through group and one-on-one therapies as well as
non-traditional therapies like art and music.
Dr. Drew is a board certified addictionologist, the Service Director
of the Chemical Dependency Program/Residential Treatment Center at Las
Encinas Hospital, a staff member at Huntington Memorial Hospital,
continues to run a private practice and is Assistant Clinical Professor
of Psychiatry at the Keck USC School of Medicine. He once again gives
viewers an unflinching look at exactly how the rehab process works and
what it feels like for participants. Dr. Drew hopes to use his
celebrity patients to humanize the process and show viewers that
treatment is a viable way to break the cycle of addiction.
Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House will chronicle the
dramatic, unscripted experiences of a group of celebrity addicts as
they make the transition back into the real world full of the people
and things that once led them into a life of addiction. The sober
living house is an interim step on the path to sobriety where addicts
can live in a supervised sober environment with structure and rules,
i.e. mandatory curfews, chores and meetings. It’s a place where
addicts, most of which have spent the better part of their life in the
throes of an addiction will learn how to essentially start their lives
over from the ground up. In some cases, the addicts change everything
from their jobs to their friends and for some they make the very
difficult decision to eliminate the people they love who are toxic to
their sobriety.
Throughout the course of their stay, the Sober House cast
members will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Drew in both one on
one and group sessions in an effort to understand and advance their
experience to its fullest potential. Although not living at the house,
Dr. Drew and his staff will keep a watchful eye over all that goes on.
In the end viewers will witness the struggles of these celebrity
patients as they experience the pressures of daily life with their
sobriety hanging by a thread, forcing many of them to act out in
various ways as they strive to find recovery and the road to a much
happier fulfilling life.
Featured throughout the series will be several songs from the group,
The Script, (Epic/Phonogenic) who are currently the biggest breaking
new band of 2008 in both the UK and their native Ireland. Songs
featured, will be off of their self titled U.S. debut album which is
currently available digitally and will be released in stores on March
17. Viewers first heard their music when their song, “Before The Worst”
was featured in the super trailer for Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House during the season finale of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
Additionally, VH1.com will launch a sneak peek of the first episode
on Friday, January 9 before the on-air premiere. Subsequent episodes
will be available on VH1.com following their on-air premiere.
During our finale interview with Dr. Drew, we took the opportunity to ask him what to expect from Sober House. His answers are below:
What can we expect from Sober House?
Now the group is leaving a medically managed environment and going
to live on their own. They have to find jobs, they have to make an
after-care plan, they have to figure out where their lives are going,
they have to establish a program of recovering, they have to navigate
through Hollywood, which is a treacherous environment. In the meantime,
Bob and I keep seeing them in treatment as outpatients. We see them
everyday or two. You’ll meet the house manager, Jennifer Gimenez, who’s
a sober person herself. She has a big job on her hands. The experience
is very evocative for her.
Out of all the cast, you haven’t treated Andy Dick before.
He comes in midway. He has a crisis and he wants me to treat him. I
tell him, “I’m filming a TV show, I can’t,” and he says, “Well, I’ll
come there, then.” He came in and that was that. He did a great job. He
was great.
Mary Carey’s back on VH1. That’s a good thing.
Her thing is struggling with the complete and tremendous changes she
has to make in her life. My relationship with her is marked by vivid
moments, and we had one in treatment during this show. She leaned
forward and said, “Drew, you want me to change everything.” I said,
“Yeah, I don’t see you staying sober if you don’t change your life.”
And she said, “Oh, I don’t know if I can do that.” I get it, all right.
We’ll work on it.
What about the rest of the cast?
Steven Adler and Seth have major problems. Some stuff happens. Some
really intense stuff. Rodney is great, as always. Amber has her moments
of struggling. Nikki does great, she gets with the program on this one.
This show is really different from Rehab. It’s a whole new journey.
It’s a lower level of care. More independence means more opportunity
for antics.
All dogs will behave well in their own surroundings the trick is to getting them to behave well everywhere else. If your interested in getting your dog into movies or television you will need to begin training your dog the minute you bring him/her home. My dogs have been featured in 4 major motion pictures, on TV shows and in commercials thanks to good training and Animal Actors Inc. Recently my dog Tilly worked with Keira Knightley in Last Night, Tilly's name is Lucy in the movie and she is in many scenes. Above are photos of Tilly with Keira in Last Night is due out this year and a photo of Tilly at home relaxing. Tilly plays Denzel Washington's dog in The Taking of Pelham 123 which also stars John Travolta due out this year as well. She will be seen on the FX show Damages in a scene with William Hurt (Daniel Purcell) and Delaney Moro (Erica Purcell). Tilly can be seen on an NFL commmercial for the Dallas Cowboys and her son Kevin is featured on an AmeriTrade commercial. How does a dog get jobs like these? By being well trained in any enviornment. So follow the 5 tips below and start submitting your dog's profile to sites that hire dogs for movies and TV work.
1. START TRAINING YOUR DOG FROM THE MOMENT YOU BRING THEM HOME. 2. TRAIN EVERYDAY FOR NO MORE THAN 5 MINUTES A SESSION. 3. AFTER EVERY TRAINING SESSION BE SURE TO RELEASE YOUR DOG. 4. ONCE YOU FEEL YOUR DOG HAS A COMMAND DOWN PAT TRAIN IN ANOTHER LOCATION (A FOOD STORE PARKING LOT OR PARK). 5. LASTLY BE PREPARED TO BE ON SET AT THE DROP OF A HAT, ONCE YOU PROVE YOUR DOG HAS WHAT IT TAKES YOU WILL BE HIRED AGAIN AND AGAIN.

She also sought to seal the trial, but the court declined to do so. She
appealed and lost this issue. On December 9, 2003, she settled with her

In March 2004, after Victoria Zdrok was named Penthouse Pet of the
Year, Alexander Zdrok again sued to overturn the most recent
settlement. The judge chastised him for filing the suit.

The term alternative medicine, as used in the modern western world, encompasses any healing practice "that does not fall within the realm of conventional medicine”. Commonly cited examples include naturopathy, chiropractic, herbalism, traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, meditation, yoga, and diet-based therapies, in addition to a range of other practices. Alternative medicine practices are as diverse in their foundations as in their methodologies. Practices may incorporate or base themselves on traditional medicine, folk knowledge, spiritual beliefs, or newly conceived approaches to healing. According to the basics of alternative medicines, “The food itself is the medicine”. All the natural food we eat contains some kinds of medicinal power in it. If we eat them in the said form it gives the best relief from the ailments.
According to the hindu faiths and philosaphies there are six vedas. The first four out of them explain about god , the superhuman power of god and utilization of the super human power to solve the problems faced by a human being. The fifth Veda is called as “Ayurveda”. It explains how to convert and use the regular food into medicine and solve the physical problems. The sixth Veda is called as “dhanurveda’. It detailly tells about archery. The Ayurveda and Dhanurvedha are parts of Atharva Veda, the fourth Veda.
Seeds, vegetables, fruits, roots and extracts are the base of alternative medicine. In this issue let me explain about a plant and flower. The plant we are going to see is fenugreek. All the parts of the plant is very powerful and helpful. It is commonly known as Maithray or Methi. It has different names in different languages. Mithi, Menthyada soppu Ventayam Menthulu or ulluva. Fenugreek is used both as a herb (the leaves) and as a spice (the seed). It is cultivated worldwide as a semi-arid crop. It is frequently used in curry. The yellow to amber colored fenugreek seed, commonly called Methi , is frequently used in the preparation of pickles, curry powders, and pastes. It is often encountered in the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent. The young leaves and sprouts of fenugreek are eaten as greens, and the fresh or dried leaves are used to flavor other dishes. The dried leaves are called as kasuri methi. They have a bitter taste and a strong characteristic smell. In India, fenugreek seeds are mixed with yogurt and used as a conditioner for hair. It is one of the three ingredients of idli and dosa, the famous dishes of south India. It is also one of the ingredients in the making of khakhra, a type of bread. This bread is the main dish in the northern parts of India. It is used in a type of bread unique to Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine. The seed is also often used in Ethiopia as a natural herbal medicine in the treatment of diabetes. It is also sometimes used as an ingredient in the production of clarified butter which is similar to Indian ghee.
In Egypt, fenugreek seeds are prepared as tea, by being boiled then sweetened. This is a popular winter drink served in coffee shops. In the United States, where maple syrup is popular, fenugreek is widely used as a substitute for maple syrup flavoring.
The usage of fenugreek are widely explained in Vedas. The young leaves and sprouts of the fenugreek has very good medicinal effects. The curry without using redchillies is to be eaten on alternative days. By that the stomach related troubles will vanish off. The dried fenugreek seeds are to be eaten with yogurt. One teaspoon of fenugreek seed along with a small cup of yogurt stops the diarrohea instantly. If the roasted and powders fenugreek seeds are eaten with cooked rice and a tea spoon of ghee, works as a great appitizer. It helps for an easy and quick digestion. The fenugreek seeds to be soaked in water for one night. After it is being well soaked in water it is to be eaten in the early morning in an empty stomach. This gives a great remedy from stomache ulcers. If the fenugreek seeds are eaten by males it increases the potency of the male and increases the live sperm counts. Fenugreek seeds are often used to increase milk supply in lactating women.Because the maple syrup-like flavor is strong and not always liked, the seeds are ground to a powder and administered in capsules. Many lactating women who take fenugreek in the quantities required to increase their milk supply. Fenugreek is mainly used as a digestive aid. Supplements of fenugreek seeds were shown to lower serum cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein. the antidiabetic effects of fenugreek seeds ameliorate most metabolic symptoms associated with diabetes. The modern reaserch on the Vedas, the medicinal effect of the natural products have come to lime light nowadays.
The next we are going to discuss is the flower rose. Rose plays a major role in showing love, affection and dedication towards a person. It is a great medicine also. The Vedas explain a lot about flowers. For example Lord Shiva lives in the coldest place called Mount Kailas. He needs heat. Thatswhy the heat creating flowers are used for his pooja.Like that each and every flower has gt its won effect. The rose is very good to cool the body. It is great remedy for a lot of physical ailments. It can be swolloed as petals or a special combination called as “Gulkandu”. Gulkandu is made from rose petals and honey. They use only pink roses and not other roses. Gulkand is a mixture of GUL means flower or short for GULAB means Rose and Kand is sugar candy or sugar. Soaking the petals in honey is a simple way. Vedas explain the days prescribed for preparation of the product as follows. Take about one hundred pink roses one day before full moon day. Remove only the petals in evening after sunset. Take a silver vessel. Make a layer one finger digit thick of petals. Over that spread one digit layer of powdered sugar candy. Repeat this process of alternate layers till the petals are exhausted. Make the top layer of honey and cover the vessel with a silver plate. Keep the vessel in the prayer room or Pooja room for one paksha or fifteen days. After fifteen days, remix and agitate the stuff in the evening. Fill up the gulkand which is ready in a glass jar. Gulkand is very good for ulcers, heat stroke and as a nervous system coolant. The season to use Gulkand is summer when it cools the body and in rainy season by the ladies which would make them more romantic. The intake of gulkand with warm milk increases the potentiality in females. If anybody has a throat pain they have to take gulkand with warm milk. The remedy will be wonderful.
According to Vedas there are two major factors namely Vaathahara or Ushna and Kapahara or Sheeta. If one has to make cold medicines, it is always better if they are made when there is full moon. For example the cardamom is known as having Sheeta or cold property. It is not used along with Ushna or Hot medicines like ginger etc. According to Vedas, Gulkand is Sheeta and Kaphahara. It is cold for the inner system. It increases Kapha or mucous. It decreases the hunger. Hence it goes against the cold season when one feels hungry faster. One needs to keep their inner system warm and not cold. That is why one should not take Gulkandu in winter. If their body is having more of heat, they would most likely have burning sensation in stomach. Their palms and soles would be hot and sometimes rough. In such cases, Gulkand is to be taken with milk. Now the modern research on the Vedas has gone to a great extent. Only because of the vast research, the hidden treasures of the Vedas are coming out. There is no harm in eating the food products, prepared under a different recipe. By taking the proper food product one can live a healthy and hygienic life. According to an old saying “The food is medicine and medicine is food”. Also having these kinds of Alternative medicines initiated by a Guru who knows Atharva Veda will make the concerned Product as a holy one, Since it falls in the Atharva Vedic Practice of Yantra , Thantra, Mantra and Aushadha. These four are considered as the major controlling factor of a human being’s life. These are interrelated. There is no harm in eating the food products, prepared under a different recipe. By taking the proper food product under proper direction from a Guru or Siddha Purusha, one can live a healthy and hygienic life. According to an old saying “The food is medicine and medicine is food0. All of us should try to practice this and lead a healthy and hassle free life.
Christmas Eve 5 years ago, my whole family was in town to celebrate the holiday. Hepps love food, so we were heading out to grab a bite at a great little inexpensive Italian joint on 9th Ave. But, first we went to celebrate Christmas Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. It was packed, my boyfriend Brian and I were in a pew near the back, with my folks, 2 sisters and brother behind me. One of the great things about St Pats, is it's always so busy, locals and tourists milling around even right in the middle of services. The music was beautiful and evening simply post card magical. When we went up for communion, I could see Brian was suddenly visibly moved in fact near tears. We scooted back into the pew and I asked him if anything was wrong. He turned to me, emotion all over his face and choked yes, "Do you think we'll ever get married?" And that's when I saw the ring. With my whole family surrounding us, he asked me to marry him, right in the middle of St Pats. It was such a surprise and so uncharacteristically romantic of my now husband- I felt the adrenaline spike under my skin, my face flash scarlet and I started crying. The other congregants congradulated us as mass ended, and we stepped out into the light snow and festive lights of Rock Center- truly one of the most unexpectedly happy days of my life. My Christmas Eve engagement, Only in New York.

GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED: 1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats. 2) When your Mom is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair. 3) If your sis ter hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the second person. 4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato. 5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food. 6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair. 7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time. 8) You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk. 9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.
GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED: 1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree. 2) Wrinkles don't hurt. 3) Families are like fudge..mostly sweet, with a few nuts. 4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground. 5 ) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside. 6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fibre, not the toy.
GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD 1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. 2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get. 3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there. 4) You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster. 5) It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions. 6) Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician. 7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.
THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE: 1) You believe in Santa Claus. 2) You don't believe in Santa Claus. 3) You are Santa Claus. 4) You look like Santa Claus.
SUCCESS: At age 4 success is . . . not piddling in your pants. At age 12 success is . . . havin g friends. At age 17 success is . having a drivers license. At age 35 success is . . having money. At age 50 success is . . having money. At age 70 success is . . .. having a drivers license. At age 75 success is . . having friends. At age 80 success is . not piddling in your pants.
Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way; BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come each day.
