Low Pressure continues to move away from us today, making way for high pressure which will be in effect tomorrow. Unfortunately, we have to sacrifice temperature, OH Well, It is WINTER!
So as for the rest of today, our chance of any "weather" has since deminished since this morning, and we are going to see clouds start to clear out overnight, Winds persist with gusts up 30mph and insisted on messing with people's hair today. The temperature wasn't really expected to go past 40 today. It hit 44.4 in East Setauket, here at Ward Melville HS, however that was at midnight! Temp down to 20 tonight.
For Tomorrow, Thursday, High Pressure keeps us mostly sunny and clear, temps will go down tonight and won't be coming too far back up Thursday; only 30. Winds still breezing around.
Clouds begin to return Thursday Night, going down to a chilling 14.
Another system will affect us on Friday and for that:

Today is February 2, 2008; Groundhog Day!
Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow, forecasting 6 more weeks of frigid winter weather. But, we haven't had any Winter weather really to begin. Maybe Phil sees something on the horizon?!?
Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/08 at sunrise at Gobbler's Knob:
Here Ye! Here Ye! Here Ye!
On Gobbler's Knob on this fabolous Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2008
Punxsutawney Phil, the Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of all Prognosticators,
Rose to the call of President Bill Cooper and greeted his handlers, Ben Hughes and John Griffiths.
After casting a weathered eye toward thousands of his faithful followers,
Phil consulted with President Cooper and directed him to the appropriate scroll, which proclaimed:
"As I look around me, a bright sky I see, and a shadow beside me.
Six more weeks of winter it will be!"
