Are we ready for a turn to the left? When the designers of our democracy sat down in Philadelphia in the 1770’s what was their goal for this new world? Did they anticipate a country where the government was so large that it took a man over half of his year just to pay his taxes? Did they anticipate a government so large that it took on the responsibility of free medical and free education? I believe the founders of this great country were men of extraordinary wisdom. They were all self made men who stood out from all the rest with their bravery and ability to survive with little more than a belief in freedom and the fortitude to risk it all for that goal. Does that sound like a bunch of socialists who expect the world to take care of them?

The United States is at a crossroads in its history. We have been slowly turning towards the left since the 68 elections and riots in Chicago. I guess you can say the students who followed Eugene McCarthy have grown up and taken charge. We have a slight problem though, they have taken charge of our schools and our media and some have made it into government but they have no possible idea how to remain free from either foreign governments or even our own. It’s one thing to be idealistic but in the end it seems we usually have to stand and be willing to sacrifice in order to stay free and idealistic. Their disdain for the military and most things of moral value leave us naked and unprotected in this violent world. When we are all finished with this election and the voting is in we may just find ourselves with a far left congress a far left senate and a president who will rubber stamp what ever they put in front of him. I fear for that day as it will be a sea change of historical proportions. I fear for our vulnerability from a society of political correctness and our freedom to own and possess firearms. No matter what is said in this election by either candidate the real fear is in the total control by one group over us all.

If you look close you can see this change creeping in the door in the form of NAFTA, (The North American Free Trade Association.) The 700 billion dollar bailout that will leave a monumental debt for our children and our grandchildren to pay and the government in charge of private enterprise. You can see it in our lack of attention to our open borders. We will see it in the amnesty of millions of illegals here in this country. No indeed, I wouldn’t call this an everyday election, the very thought of out of control inflation, skyrocketing medical costs due to the influx of illegals in our system leaves me a little frightened.

We need checks and balances to make America free and keep our sovereignty intact . Just like we need two legs to make a pair of trousers and two arms to make a sweater complete, we need the strength of both liberals and conservatives empowered to make this country strong enough to survive.

And that’s my opinion,
Don

Don, yes we need checks and balances. That's why if we leave our country in the control of Obama, Pelosi and Harry Reed, we are in big trouble.

John McCain makes the right decisions, not the decisions that always satisfy his party.

Below I will post something that should show that Obama may be controlled by the wrong people, and why he could make decisions that ruin our country.

Listed above is a news story about Khalid al-Mansour. The Hannity's America show, re-airing this Sunday night, also mentions him, and also gives clues THAT HE PROBABLY IS THE GUY WHO FUNDED OBAMA'S EDUCATION. As the article states, he also was Black Panther Huey Newtons MENTOR!

Here is the quote from the article that I wish all the millions of DEMOCRATIC JEWS would read:

QUOTE:

Al-Mansour’s more recent videotaped speeches focus on Muslim themes, and abound with anti-Semitic theories and anti-Israel vitriol.

“Today, the Palestinians are being brutalized like savages,” he told an audience in South Africa. “If you protest you will go to jail, and you may be killed. And they say they are the only democratic country in the Middle East. ... They are lying on God.”

He accused the Jews of “stealing the land the same way the Christians stole the land from the Indians in America.”

Just so you know.....

Our Social Security

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the Independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month --And then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to "put Away" -- you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the Independent "Trust Fund" and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically Controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax Deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the Senate, whi

I believe in a commonsense approach to government rather than a reactionary one. I believe in welfare for the person trying to re-establish rather than the present form where it is impossible to get off the roles once on. Man should be rewarded for his actions not his inaction.
