Why do so many of the singers on American Idol go on stage barefoot. It's disgusting.

I've been down in the dumps lately (I do live just north of Fresh Kills, but no pun intended) and I was wondering what cheers you up when you're sad. I've tried pretty much everything but I still don't really find any motivation in my life. Has anyone gone through something similar? Thanks in advance.

My friend Agnes just informed me that Charles Nelson Reilly is dead a year now. This is so sad. I wish I had the opportunity to propose to  meet him. She also sent me his commercials. Enjoy it, and Charles, if you're reading this, I think you were very talented, handsome, and hilarious!

Does anyone know what happened to Charles Nelson Reilly? I remember him on the Match Game and in those Bic commercials dressed as a banana. Has anyone ever met him? He is very handsome!!!

Friend, I couldn't add a comment for some reason, so I created my own thread.

I remember your comment about the after-school programs. You should look into submitting your ideas to legislators because they are very logical.

I like your idea about having Tri-state drivers learn each other's rules.  There's so much interstate driving nowadays that they should know each other's rules for safety reasons. I honestly don't know how some people get their licenses, though. I think they have connections or get them illegally because I can't see how a sane driving inspector would give these idiots who lack common sense a license to kill. I would say that aside from retarded drivers in Queens, drivers from PA are the worst.

I think the picture says it all. Please let me know if any one has seen similar enchanted creatures.

Interesting story. Have any of you experienced anything similar to this?

MUNCIE, Ind. - William M. Bowen woke up after a night of drinking with friends and realized he was inside a commercial trash-collection truck full of waste. The driver had just emptied a commercial trash bin into his truck and was about to activate its compactor when he heard Bowen screaming." He looked up and this gentleman was standing out the top of our truck," said Larry Green, market safety supervisor for the Rumpke waste disposal company. Green said the only thing Bowen said to the driver was that he was cold. "This gentleman was extremely intoxicated," he said. Bowen told police he had been drinking with buddies at a Muncie bar until about 3 a.m. Thursday. But he said he didn't recall how he ended up inside the trash bin, and he wouldn't tell police who his drinking pals were. Bowen was treated for minor injuries. "I'm just glad it turned out the way it did," Green said. "We didn't have a body that was dead. We had a body that was talking." There was no telephone listing for Bowen in the Muncie area.

Hello dear friends, I invite you all to join my Agatha Christie book club! The first book on the list is a good one: Ten Little Indians (also titled And Then There Were None). Let me know if you'd be interested in joining me and Mildred as we reread this mystery classic!

I heard that NASA is planning to crash into the southern pole of the moon. Is this a good idea? Why don't other earth-citizens get a say in what NASA does? It's my moon too, damn it!

I came across an interesting article regarding rats in China. Here is an excerpt:

Group calls on China to respect rats

Mon Feb 4, 7:26 AM ET

An animal rights group called Monday for China to treat rats with kindness and respect, as millions across the nation begin to celebrate the coming Year of the Rat.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, said it has asked the Chinese government to consider animal welfare laws for rats used in laboratory experiments. The group also recommended a series of guidelines for animals used in science.

"Rats sing, they dream, and they express empathy for others," Coco Yu of PETA's Asia-Pacific branch said in a statement.
