I raised a family after the death of my spouse. Took no public assistance. Never thought it was someone else's business to raise my children. Worked, maintained medical benifits through local Chamber of Commerce. Attended college while working full time after my children were raised. Changed jobs in order to have a life. Typical homeowner. Overtaxed on real property of every kind. Driving an old car that I keep in good condition. I am already on a shoe string conserve on my own and don't go out to eat once per week so I can't cut back anymore and don't think I should support any of those people who want a handout. If I can do it so can they. I never even asked my family (parents brothers and sisters) to help me. They just saw a confident strong woman who thinks life is beautiful. I am remarried after 20 years and maintain a job and help my grandchildren understand how to help themselves; not rely on government.
