Please, someone answer me! I haven't seen her on the early morning news and she hasn't posted any new blogs as of late. Has she passed on to another station? I miss Christina Park. She was a classy lady.

I heard Michael Jackson's new album is going to be released Tuesday! Hallelujah! For any of you who are not familiar with MJ, here are a few pictures:

Is Christina Park still working at the station? I don't see any of her postings on here. I can't believe this. I get so attached and then they disappear. This is a horrible day.

I don't know about you, but I wish there was a law enacted that would require all produce, dairy, meat, fish to be labelled with their exact origin. I don't know where my dinner grew up/was harvested. I just read an article about fish from the northern Gulf of Mexico that contain a toxin called ciguatera, which causes neurological problems. How would we know if we ate such fish?

Someone tell me: Is it New York Giants or New Jersey Giants? Enough of this!!! The Giants should be based in NY. Otherwise, they should just change their name.

If you do, I can tell you about your pet's feelings/thoughts/concerns for a small fee...I do my work over the Internet.

I thought that Michael Jackson was going to have his comeback during the half-time break. Instead, I had to hear Tom Petty. This is very disappointing. Does anyone know what happened?

I saw an episode of Judge David Young yesterday (on Fox's sister station, channel 9) and I was really taken aback. There was a woman who was suing a taxidermist for messing up her dead cat: the cat was flat on one side, he had make-up on his nose, lips, and belly, and his bones were taken out (she showed us by squeezing his leg that the cat was hollow). She eventually won the case and she said that even if she received a million dollars, she still would not have her cat's bones back. Apparently, she has the organs in a jar at home. Have any of you stuffed your dead pets? It was very disgusting to see the dead, stiff cat on the table...I couldn't finish eating my apple.

I watched the State of the Union address yesterday (operative word being "watched"; I shut off the sound) and I thought, "It must be really hard for Nancy Pelosi to refrain from yawning." She looked tired and bored and I was waiting for her to yawn. Also, there were times when she had a strange smile on her face and I thought she would break out in laughter. I know I would have a laughing fit.

Chinese New Year is next week, on February 7th! How will you be celebrating? It's the Year of the Rat, so I will refrain from spitting on the rats I see in the subway and in alleyways starting 2/7. Instead, I will be using Mildred to catch them and I will try to clean each with an old toothbrush I saved. I also have some dishwashing liquid I bought from the 99 cents store. I saw biologists on TV cleaning water fowl after an oil spill in the same fashion, so I think it should work on the rats as well.

Does anyone know what is going on with Michael Jackson? Is he okay and is he releasing a new album soon?

I've seen pictures of Chinook Archs in Canada and they don't look much different than the way the sky here in NY looks when there's an approaching storm. Have any of you seen them in real life, and if so, are they very unusual-looking? Also, would you know of any other extremely strange weather-related phenomena, like the aurora borealis, that we don't experience here in NY?

I was wondering if anyone here has visited Norway in the winter months. I hear that they only get 3 hours of sunlight! Don't people there get really depressed? As a tourist, I would get really confused if it was dark at 10AM. As a native, I would grow up with an extremely negative outlook on life.

According to this article, Dr. Phil is a quack. I knew he had skeletons in his closet. I hope his show is cancelled. State of California Investigating Dr. Phil Jan. 18, 2008, 1:16 PM EST

Zap2it.com

A complaint has been filed against Dr. Phil with the California Board of Psychology.

The complaint reportedly accuses Dr. Phil McGraw of practicing without a license when he visited Britney Spears at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after her meltdown earlier this month, according to TMZ.com.

Dr. Phil is also accused of violating the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The complaint alleges Dr. Phil practiced clinical psychology without a license and further violated doctor-patient privilege by discussing the pop star's case with the media.

Dr. Phil has never been licensed to practice in California, and he is no longer licensed in his home state of Texas.

McGraw failed to complete the conditions imposed as disciplinary sanctions by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists in 1989.

At that time a former therapy client had filed a complaint against him, claiming their relationship was inappropriate.

McGraw later admitted giving her a job but denied touching her.

Soon after he was officially reprimanded, McGraw closed his private practice.

My name is Gertrude, but my friend calls me "Gert" for short. I'm from the most beautiful island in the world, Staten Island. I live just north of Fresh Kills and I love it. The smell is not great, but the rent is cheap. Overall, it's ideal for the family that is just starting out. My daughter Mildred just came into my life this past month. Her biological parents were of the calico breed, but to me she's 100% human. I hope to put her picture up here as soon as I figure out how.
