Smart Girl !!!     Her mother didn't raise no fool !!!

Did you know Spitzer's $4000.00 call girl / musician set up a pseudo  "pay per listen" business on the internet where you could pay to hear her songs???

Wow!    Somehow she knew that she was going to be famous in advance, and that people would pay to hear her sing online.

Gee I wonder who leaked the gov's secret to the FBI????    Hmmmm.

LOL!!!
Look at all the attention she got......and job offers. Why was she so anxious to reveal herself after the bust? It was as if she had anticipated it. I wouldn't doubt that she was the tipster, because she had all her ducks in a row, just waiting for the ball to drop.
What do you think??

It's that damn fifteen minutes of fame thing. She'll probably get bookings in Vegas....Room 3125!! Or maybe Miami as part of the Blue Plate Special!

Now she is just a novelty for the media, but when she fades out of the spotlight, she will crave it again, so she will create a new scandal I'm sure!

She's just a confused twenty two year old kid, who somehow will eke out a living and maybe someday realize BAD PUBLICTY is just that...BAD PUBLICTY! In my busiiness I see it all the time. Who knows, maybe some day she'll come out with her own line of purses...ALA MONICA, what's her name again??

You are right jmax123. She did know that ball was going to drop. When I cooperated, I was not given the exact date of when my madam was going down, but I had an idea. During that time the FBI and IRS agents that I reported to told me however that I needed to lay low and stay away from the press. I stayed away for four years. By that time life had left me in a blur. I was surrounded by scandal and felt the only way I could tell people that I had feeling about this as well was to write a book. But I was so ashamed of myself when the book came out that I did very little press. Not to mention the fact that I had a huge drinking and drug problem. Getting publicity made my problems worse, not better.

Hi bigbadbob. High class prostitution is not just a job, but an education. An education on how to get away with things no one else will. I know I may have been 21 when all my bad stuff happened, but I was not stupid by any means. I was after the easy way.

Kristen will be given immunity to testify against everyone. That means she can't do press and can't exploit the situation until it has seen it's day in court. If she doesn't choose immunity, she will be charged and face jail-time.

There were a number of people I sure. The evidence has to be sufficient to issue an arrest warrant and that is usually not based on just one person.

Wow! It's awful that you had to be put in that position. You did what you had to do.
That's nothing to be ashamed of!

I know a woman who was a call girl and told me so many wild real life stories, and she had kept a journal of events that were true, but hard to believe for most people, and planned to eventually write a book. That would have been a book you couldn't put down from the previews I heard! But she never got around to it. After all of this, and her being in the life for 30 years, first as a go-go dancer, then a burlesque queen, then an escort, then a peep show artist, and then a street walker------she has a lot to say!
Unlike her co-workers, she never did drugs, she was just a drinker though, but not smart enough to work without a manager.

This is inspiring me to want to contact her and maybe get her to actually put her mind to writing the book......I bet it would be a best seller!
She is so down and out financially now. This book could turn everything around again for her.
Nothing to be ashamed of at all. Her favorite saying is "to each his own" since I've known her.

Your friend sounds like she has an amazing story. It's good to write the book. But it's really important to be in the right frame of mind when she does. I would recommend she join a 12 step program, so she can learn what her part in it was. You can buy home study versions of 12 step as well. Sometimes it is better to go one on one with a good therapist, especially in her situation. Most people will not be able to identify with her struggle right from the start. Seeing my part in it was the most difficult part for me. I could not admit that I was an equal participant and that I put myself in these situations. I didn't want to be forgiven, in my mind I did noting wrong. That was of course not the case, but it took me years of recovery to see it. I had very little help in that direction. Make sure whatever she writes is copyrighted before she shows it to anyone.

I can't imagine her agreeing to do a 12-step program, although I'm sure it would help her.
She started as a Barbizon grad; trying to get in the top modeling agencies. When she was turned away for not being perfect, she was rebellious because being on a stage was her dream. No modeling agency was going to take that away from her! That's why she started dancing in clubs.
She is/was a simple person, and her pseudo-boyfriend learned that he could take advantage of that, so he figured he could make a living off her and encouraged her go out and make more money. Her loyalty to him, was stronger than her common sense-----as if he brainwashed her. At one point he even introduced her to to another woman he took in, and had her introduce this new woman as her "wife in law" ......that threw me for a loop! Whoa! Can you imagine that?

I agree richter! It's scary, the message today's teens are getting from this incident.
The media is feeding off scandals like leeches and glamourizing the bad girl image. This is going to make for some difficult parenting to teenage girls.
I can already see the result on myspace-----girls that will never find out who they really are, because their top priority is trying to follow a pre-set image. It's sad, isn't it? It's almost like voluntary identity theft.

Jane, on two fronts, women like your friend are lucky to be alive. She has been through so much. I will pray for her. And think about her man, what values has he been taught? He is in as much danger as your friend is. For me, all someone had to do was put the idea of the 12 steps in my head, it took years, but I finally got the message and now it's 9 years later. Life is good now. I am recovering one day at a time. Second, it is frustrating to me that no one offers a solution. Yes, we have Dr. Phil and Dr. Drew. They are a big help. But for women recovery is gender specific. Women will not easily listen to a man. But they will be more open to someone who has had their experience. I have tried to offer my recovery book to publishers. Most are not interested. I have had a book that has had great success, but I was ashamed and sick and had not interest in promoting a problem. I'm working on a website where women can ask me questions without having to reveal who they are. Also, not an easy task.
As for Kristin and the Gov, if she is given immunity she will not likely do time unless she has something she won't turn over the government wants.

405,
I can't believe that these publishers don't see the value in a book written by someone who walked the walk!
No disrespect to Dr. Phil, but if I were looking for help, I would prefer to consult with someone who found their own way out. Only people like you who struggled through the life can give precision advice. A psychologist's advice would be too generalized.
Everything boils down to marketability, so if you created a scandal yourself, and got your name out, publishers would be lining up to bid on your book rights! Quality doesn't count for much anymore these days!

Here's a question: I heard that Kristin has made millions since this hit the media. Wasn't there a new law passed that you can't profit off of committing a crime? But I guess it's a grey area because she is supposedly selling music and not sex.

I would love to see your web site. What is the URL? Or if you don't want to post it here, please email me. jmax123@aol.com. Also, Fox would probably do a feature story about your site if you sent them a press release. Once you launch the site and get free exposure from your press releases, you can show the publishers your portfolio of coverage and they would probably reconsider.
The press release should profile someone you helped too.
I used to launch new products for a living in the 80's and 90's so maybe I can help with tips I learned along the way.

She's an idiot. Did you read her "My Space?" It's nothing but transparent ramblings of nothing. The smart thing for her to do now is to accept the offer from the adult mags.

Hello Jane. I am in the process of creating the site. I will take your advice into account. Thanks for the tip. A Fox Cable Channel Producer has asked me to participate in a show next week. I also got an e-mail about ABC-TV. I hope it pans out. It is important to give back for me. I want to help others. I will not stop. Eventually I will be heard and hopefully women will have a forum where their voices can be heard and know they don't have to deal with the demons alone. Even women who end up going to jail or an institution will be able to chat, I will not shut anyone out. I will e-mail you. :)

Is Mrs. McGreevey any different than Kristen?

Using sex to sell her book, to "make" more money in the divorce settlement?

I believe every great person, at some time, was encouraged by someone who had the ability to see their hidden talents, and cared enough to lead them to see it too. Without this caring person in their past, we may have never known many people that we admire today. "FLATTER ME, AND I MAY NOT BELIEVE YOU. CRITICIZE ME, AND I MAY NOT LIKE YOU.
