Not only am I fortunate enough to be among the online team that is going to the conventions, but the Fox Interactive Media national team also is working on a convention preview package.

Bridget is a talented designer, so she's in charge of that aspect, while I've been researching some of the more important conventions in American history. We reached out to about 15 political experts -- professors, historians, etc. -- some local, some far away, and compiled a list of the top moments in convention history. Come on back in early August as we unveil those rankings.

But today we begin a new chapter: the interviews. We're lugging our cameras to the office of one of our experts in about a half hour, and we hope to get some good soundbites from her. Again, check back next month for that great convention package. But check back here sooner than that, as I expect to update this blog frequently.
