Dear Willie, allow me to help you (no charge)

If you are in doubt and pondering whether to "quit or not",guess no more.Here are three (3) reasons that will make you pull the trigger and call it quits while U R 1.5 games ahead,at least you'll go out as winner with "MUCHO DINERO"

Uno:-You lack leadership {BIG TIME}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}, your players pretend to respond...FAT CHANCE

Dos:-The Joe Torre attitude impression is not cutting it (being a calm persons does not mean you got it together),you make to many dumb mistakes and your ball players know it ,and guess what,they burn you in private,trust me on this one,that is what we LATINOS do best,we critisize,we even point with our mouths.(Ask any latino in the dogout)

3- You have the personality of a cucumber that clashes with a young club,that is mainly latino and full of spunk.You are to lay back,you belong in the 40's era.You are often outmanage and outwit.By the way, what happen to Petterson's theory and magic on pitchers,tell u what,when you leave...take Rick Petterson with you.The way you guys are leading this team,my aunt Lula will do it for nothing with the same results,at least she can cook for the boys.

P.S

If u think I'm wrong,just ask the 3 guys at the booth,they always get it right before you mess up.

JC -- first of all, thanks for my laugh of the day. Always a pleasure. I'm no great fan of Willie's, but you can relax. He's not going to quit, and he's not going to get fired.

I liked your "personality of a cucumber" crack, although I didn't understand it. How many cucumbers do you know?

The only reason a laugh would be justified is if you were evaluating the grammar and ignorance of the comment. As far as the players they all fully respect him and have an amazing time. Willie is not at fault for 13 errors in 3 games he is in the dugout. Even if sometimes he will leave pitchers in too long... let me ask you something. Do you see anybody in the Mets' bullpen other than the pitchers on our roster? Obviously the answer is no. So with that said, tell me who should Willie put in for all the times the bullpen has gotten smacked around? They've scored runs overwhelmingly so there goes that aspect of them not caring, clearly they're okay enough to be getting 7 runs for the past week. And how about we check that list of our players on the DL? Yeah, be ignorant say Willie is horrible since we are just 1 1/2 games ahead(2 1/2 we won yesterday). But you left out one thing. We are 2 1/2 games ahead in a season where half the games were played by the back up players, and the called up players, NOT by our main lineup that was set from day one. No Delgado for a while... no Beltran... El Duque for a while... Endy Chavez.. then our catcher LoDuca followed by backup catcher Castro making us need to use DiFelice.. combine all that with the fact that the bullpen era was over 8 the past month... then please tell me again Willie is horrible. Our bullpen bein rocked has not one connection to anything Willie does or says.

And on another note, the comments about race were ridiculous. Do not judge players on their nationality it has nothing to do with anything. The players on the team of Spanish/Latin descent are the veterans, aside from 2 or 3 being younger. 90% of those Latin players being young needing more excitement arent young they are the players that have been in the MLB for years. As for Rick Peterson, your ignorance shines through even more. The players that have failed to perform in the bullpen are Sele, Schoenweis, Wagner, Mota, Heilman, and Sosa. Each of which have been in the MLB for a very very long time. Rick Peterson does not mold them he coaches, they already are the pitchers they are going to be. Yet the young players that he has played role of molder for, like Oliver Perez and John Maine. Both of which have how many wins now? Both of which who have been of the top pitchers in the NL? Oliver Perez who has much fewer walks now and one of the top pitch to strike out ratios in the MLB, John Maine who was a potential allstar. There you can understand the magic of Rick Peterson. Do not blame Willie or Rick Peterson for VETERAN/NON LATIN players, since you act like its because they are young and Latin needing spunk, explain why Sele who is NON LATIN/VETERAN has left handed hitters hitting .380 against him and right handed hitters hitting .350? They definitely have made a lot of mistakes, but it has been the players' doing it. Of all our losses, try and look at how many of those games we had won then a relief pitcher blew the lead, WE LED THE GAME FIRST ALMOST E

Keep you shirt on,releax ,is only an opinion,what about today's game as we speak.My point is Willie has the personality of a "CUCUMBER'he looks half dead,just look at him in the dogout.Petterson is a has been.This team needs a leader to kick their butts,and gess what"they ain't got one"(how's that for grammar?)As far as my grammar is concern,I like 2 c u write in spanish as well as I write in English.

JC -- as far as I know cucumbers don't have personalities, but then, I've never had much of a relationship with one.

As far as the grammar issue -- if I move to Mexico or Puerto Rico or any Latin country, you can can bet your bottom peso that I would learn to speak and write the language perfectly. It would be arrogant of me to expect those countries to conform to me.
