have a new nickname for Mr. Obama--"BARACKMAN."
This
"actor" wants to be "leading man" sooo desperately that he
turns into the villain that he protests to want to save us from:
"TWO
FACE."
Just
imagine to yourself Mr. Obama, the self-prescribed hero and savior of the
American people when the lights of the media are on.......but then....just as
the lights dim, he becomes a modern day villian with two faces--one half
black the other half white....and his head flips from one side to the other as
his alter ego takes hold.
Frightening
in his duality---"BARACKMAN" speaks of his willingness to
"change" the country and save it and us from--according to
him--certain doom, if we don't take his hand.
But
"Two-face," on the other hand can't make up his mind WHICH side he's
on or for that matter, where he comes from....I'm white, I'm black-I'm a
Christian, I'm a Muslim-I'm for gun control, I'm against gun control, I want
direct talks with the Iranian president, I might talk with someone in the
Iranian Government... Unilateralism...What unilateralism?...etc etc etc....
This
IS, obviously a faint attempt at finding some humor in his behavior....but as
the saying goes, "There is ALWAYS truth in gest...."
The
truth is, worse than a "bomb" at the box office, due to Mr. Obama's
poor "acting" skills--are the REAL BOMBS we may encounter due to his Ignorance and inexperience if were ever to become President.
This
may be a silly analogy to use in reference to Mr. Obama---but considering what
I feel is a deepening and disturbing trend---American's ONLY seem to get the
message through the fantasy of Hollywood.
But
I would like to give them a slap and tell them: "Look--it's ONLY a
costume. What you are seeing IS NOT REAL!!"

Well, well....Seems as if Mr. Obama, in his egomaniacal delusion, has broken( allegedly) Federal law.
The Lanham Act--which is overseen by the Federal Trade Commission, which oversees competition in commerce and consumer protection.Section 43 (a) of the Lanham Act allows for a cause of action against anyone who "in connection with any goods....uses in commerce or any word, term, name, SYMBOL, or device or any combination thereof.....which is likely to cause confusion, or to cause mistake, or to deceive...as to the origin, sponsorship or approval of his or her goods...by another person."15 U.S.C 1125 (a). Trade dress relates to "how a product looks, it's total image, or it's overall appearance." Mana Prods., Inc. v. Columbia Cosmetics Mfg., Inc. 65 F. 3d 1063, 1068 (2nd Cir. 1995).It also prohibits ANY use of another's trademarks that is "likely to cause confusion, or to cause mistake, or to deceive as to the affiliation, connection, or association of such person with another person, or as to the origin, sponsorship, or approval of his or her goods, services, or commercial activities by another person."
Mr. Obama, in his reprehensible use and abuse of the Seal of the President of the United States, has attempted to "deceive as to affiliation", "association of such person with another person( Mr. Obama with the President of the United States i.e)--and has attempted to "deceive as to the sponsorship, or approval or his(or her) services......"
The "consumers" who are being "deceived" about the "approval" of Mr. Obama's services are the American people who have spent millions to support his campaign for the White House.
I believe that an investigation should be started immediately.
This is a man who dares to be our President and he is already breaking Federal law.

If I didn't see the program with my own two eyes or the corresponding press promoting
Michelle Obama's "new image"--it would not have made me gasp at the absolute and calculative attempt by Barrack Obama to stoop to a new low to dupe the American public into believing that they are "two for all" the people.
I believe that the majority of those who either saw "The View" or read about it--including those who reported on it--have missed the slick attempt by Mr. Obama and his wife to use a cheap dress to try to use issues of race that have divided this country as they have not in 40 years in a transparent attempt to pull the "dress" over on voters.
Hellllllloooooooo everyone!!!! This deliberately chosen black and white dress was purchased at a shop called "WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET"!!!! I don't know of a more tactless use of a dress since Bubba made famous a blue( for Democrats) Gap dress to which he gave it and Monica Lewinsky his Presidential stain of approval.I believe this tactic used by Mr. Obama is an insult to ALL Americans.His hubris knows no bounds.This was a desperate act by a man who is an elitist that feels those who look to him as the Savior for all of the ills that are afflicting this country are ignorant and naive--AND HE'S RIGHT!!
This only stands to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, that Americans have allowed the shell of a dress or a suit, the allure and physicality of an individual to sway their conscience.
Sadly, we in this country have regressed to infants.......They react and are impressed by black and white at first....until they mature and understand the amazing diversity of color......
How ironic that the film "Primary Colors" was based on the Clintons......
I can't wait to see the "black and white" campaign ads and tv spots........
Just make sure to adjust the contrast of your TV screen.....

As well as being a sports officianado...Tim Russert was also a bigfan of Rock and Roll--and Bruce Springsteen.Well the "Boss" sent Tim off to the bigger "Boss" by dedicatingThunder Road to him last night in Paris.Bruce said that he will miss looking into the crowd and seeing his "big smiling face".......This sentiment I'm sure will be resonating through the minds of many who were devoted fans and friends of Mr. Russert's--because Sundays will never be the same without his warm, humble and inviting countenance, that helped us make sense of a world gone mad with ugliness, ego and power.
Here are two Celtic proverbs that apply to men like Tim Russert and to those who can't shine their shoes...

As many who have a passion for news--particularly that which is politically based--I am deeply shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of political news's definition of "fair and balanced"-Tim Russert.
The timing of his passing just before Father's Day, could not be more moving--as it was he whose ideals on the value of the relationship between fathers and sons--moved sooo many to rethink their own relationships through his NY Times bestselling memoirs on the subject.
A rare gem, in this day and age of stars that burn out as quickly as they shot up, ranks of fledgling reporters who coif, buff and botox themselves to look the part--lack the substance that truly brought success such as Mr. Russert garnered throughout his career.
He was an "anchor" because he WAS anchored----by faith, fairness, fatherhood and fortitude.
Those who dare to walk in his shoes should make sure that they possess and exude those rare qualities and do not allow themselves to lose "anchor" by filling themselves with the fluff and fanfare that celebrity can bring.
The age old expression "they don't make 'em like that anymore" seems to have been put in a time capsule and saved for Tim Russert.
Journalism has seen not only the passing of one of it's best and brightest---but the end of an era in it's industry.
R.I.P Mr. Russert.

I don't know about anyone else....but people better take their heads out of their over extended, over fed, and overly pompous asses and take themand try to fit them into reality."Lessons learned are like bridges burned, you only need to cross them but once. Political posturing, blame games and misappropriations of funds that were to be used for the development and maintenance of levees and dams has created a catastrophe of epic proportions.I only suspect that the blame game has already started and that President Bush will be named as host and producer of this show.Perhaps viewing Kevin Costner's "Waterworld" should become a mandatory part of education and training for our military, firefighters and police for the future......Because if we don't keep up the pace with these monumental natural disasters, that seem to be increasing in number and strength year after year, we will not need to ask what happened to the dinosaurs..........

Animals such as Big Brown may NOT have a say in whether theyare forced to race, fight or be hunted....But BB DID have the Horse sense( unlike his owners and trainers) to know that he was not feeling wellenough to run like a champion.BB was smart enough to find the only way he could give the middle fingerto his owners, trainers and the public that were so willing to see himrisk his life for their greed and glory--COMING IN DEAD LAST!!!!!I got the belly roll laugh of my life when I heard--(after being relieved thathe was still on all fours-although the question of his health remained)Does anyone think that a horse cares whether he wins or loses?I'm sure their animal instinct allows them to feel some of the vibesaround them--they react to cries of happiness or disappointment, the roarof the crowd and to the flash of cameras blinding them in the winners circle.
I only pray that once the results come back from the tests being run on Big Brown, that he will not have paid too high of a price for dreams and aspirations that were NOT his-----but the greedy public and his owners.
Their is but one saving grace in this...
This beautiful creature had a "sense" of humility that those who choseto profit from him do not.

Well, for starters, I'M SURE that many will take this comparisons the opinion of someone who has gone to the edge of precarious precipice.......But oh contraire.....
The frighteningly similar, idol worship of these two men, are, upon close examination of their effect on those who are desperately seeking to find someone's caftan or $4,000.00 suit to hold on to in their panic to find salvation and a savior to lift them out of their miserable( someself created) existences--are mirrors of the ideologies that will lead usto an ever increasing danger of becoming one mass of frightened rabbits, who in cult-like fashion.....follow their tune of promises of "paradise"and "change" to our doom.
All one has to do is draw a cartoon in your head--one cartoon has the image of Osama Bin Laden playing a flute whistling the tune "paradise, paradise, paradise.." with the desperate following the tune till they fall off the pier anddrown. The other side of the cartoon has the same set up--but only THIS time--it is Barrack Obama playing the tune "change, change, change.." with the fear-factor robots now falling into the river.......
I would love to see this image blown up in Time Square on the Jumbotron screen....NO WORDS WOULD BE NEEDED!
People better wake up and take their ipod earplugs out of their ears and listen to the words of the dangerous songs being sung.....
Otherwise, the cost will be quite a bit more than we can afford to pay.

"Sex and the City" has become, for some, the "Holy Grail" of the idea of modern, successful and powerful women.
It has, in it's duality of reality and fantasy, bi-polarized the minds of women of ALL walks and financial status by reflecting, at once, an image of independent power, female sensibilities and transvestite chic.
As a lifelong female NY'er, I find myself caught between the quintessential "rock and a hard place" with the overall message of "Sex and the City"....
REAL N.Y( and other) women DO react, emote, fantasize, fight, love and hate not dissimilarly to Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. But aside from the Manolos and Upper East Side WASPY/JAPPY Scoopy-chic---REAL N.Y women of any substance DO NOT DRESS LIKE TRANSVESTITES AT A MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION!!Patricia Field, I believe, has failed miserably in portraying an honest, stylish and chic reflection of the savvy fashion sense of we who reside in the greatest city in the world and with it, weakened the image that NY has set as the "fashion capital of the world." Sadly, this over-the-top, tran-NY reflection of fashion has made it's mark in middle America and can be seen in ALL of it's over accessorized, gaudy glory on women and girls of all ages.
In the end, "Sex and the City" has moved mountains for women with regards to self-esteem, individuality, and empowerment. But it has created an unrealistic ideal for these same women, who have always looked to NYC and it's women as the beacons of style, sophistication and trend-setting fashion.
"Priscilla Queen of the Desert" meets "The Devil Wears Prada" is far from the example that the producers of "Sex and the City" should have aspired to.
Maybe that's why their "New Line" was not such a success.....
The next "Sex and the City" needs to be "patterned" and "re-fitted" in the scheme of the savviest women of the greatest city in the world......Gail Simon

There is only one thought that came to mind when I saw the recent news about the injury to Big Brown's hoof--Eight Belles.
Those who protest that they have these animals best interests at heart CANNOT be allowed to cause another animal suffering or worse--DEATH-due to their hubris, greed and lack of compassionfor their charges.
If State, Government, animal rights group and the public in general, DO NOT STAND UP AND DEMAND A BOYCOTT of this race if Big Brown'sowners force this horse to race injured--thenthe Belmont Stakes will become "The Belle-montStakes."
ANYONE who places any sum of money on a bet will be an accomplice to not only animal cruelty, but potentially to suffering and deaththat was the outcome of greed.
Let these creatures run through grassy fields and not to their deaths.

It is unfathomable to me that the Chinese government lacked the heavy equipment needed to save the lives of thousands--some of whose faint, final cries for help could be heard beneath the rubble that became their tombs--their families waiting in vain frustration for help to arrive.
Where was the "heavy equipment" needed to save those who could have been rescued?
I believe the answer lies in the hypocrisy of the Chinese leaders--who, in their greed..chose capitalism before humanitarianism.It is safe to say that with all of the new "commercial" development of cities such as Shanghai and Bejing-with their 5 star hotels and designer boutiques--that the heavy equipment needed for the victims of the earthquake was not available because of Chinese capitalistic endeavors.
The Chinese people have paid a heavy price for their leaders short sited narcissism.
Those of you who plan on attending the Olympics in Bejiing this summer think about the real price that your ticket cost so that you could sit and watch what is simply a giant sports competition.......Everyone who purchases a ticket should donate the equal amount they paid for their tickets toward a charity that will help these victims. And those of you who pay thousands for designer bags, suits and dresses should do the same.
Their is no amount of money that can surmount the toll paid by the victims of the Chinese earthquake.......
It is a much higher than the price paid by a tourist for their overweight luggage filled with capitalist booty and souvenirs.
The only souvenirs thousands of Chinese people are taking with them are the bodies of their dead loved ones.
Think about that every time you want to spend a dime for an Olympic souvenir....

Anyone who reads my blogs knows where I stand on many issues--as I am not one to mince words.
I will not start here.
As a loyal Fox News fan--I found it deeply frustrating and insulting to not ONLY be spoken to in an arrogant manner--but to ALSO be spoken to in the most condescending way--THIS, after I had called to make Fox awareof a gaff that I had caught (while news channel surfing of their competitors)of Barrak Obama, on one sound bite on stage in Grand Rapids, Michigan-making the comment that he hadn't been "in touch" with John Edwards on a regular basis---and THEN--on another sound bite seconds later--while he was on the plane with the press--said that he HAD been in regular contact with Mr. Edwards. These were two CLEAR, vastly polar comments and observations by Mr. Obama. And NOT ONE of the major news channels caught it!
More insulting, was that I was given this attitude after I had quickly prefaced my comments by letting whomever had picked up the phone at the Fox news desk know that I was a regular blogger on Fox NY.
After this--I attempted to contact FOX NEWS cable news---and was given a multiple choice recording and after minutes of listening for the proper extension--only received a recording asking me to leave a recorded message!!
I understand that there are many "armchair" journalists---but I think it not wise or prudent to possibly lose the jump on your competitors when you have a "fan" or someone calling in to give you valid news info.
After this experience, I will NEVER call Fox news desk again with breaking news info......

We must start to wonder about the "spiritual" aspect of these events and to ask ourselves if we have created such an atmosphere of collective negative energy, ugliness and fear because of small, petty, inconsequential trivialities--that if, whatever "higher power"exists, has gotten fed up with the lot of us and decided to make us all understand that it is NOT Osama Bin Laden, George Bush, or Ahmandinejad that we should fear--it is NOT they who hold the world or our lives in their grasp--but that IT has now made us all aware that it can wipe us ALL out in ONE SHOT!--Christians, Muslim, Hindu, Jewish--White, African-American, Asian et al- All end up suffering and dying on an equal level.
Indonesia--with the largest Muslim population in the world- New Orleans--city of sinful delights, the Chinese who have oppressed millions and the people of Tibet....The Junta in Myranmar...who, like the Chinese have taken the democratic and humanitarian rights of their people....................
If after 9/11, the world STILL does NOT understand that we ALL have the right to exist on this planet--regardless of race, religion or color--financial standing or education-Then we have only to wait---for our petty, trivial and shallow souls will answer to an entity of nature that will finally make us aware of how insignificant we ALL truly are.
