ON BEING A BRAINY BLONDE BUT KNOWING WHEN TO DUCK:

If I didn't see the program with my own two eyes or the corresponding press promoting Michelle Obama's "new image"--it would not have made me gasp at the absolute and calculative attempt by Barrack Obama to stoop to a new low to dupe the American public into believing that they are "two for all" the people.
I believe that the majority of those who either saw "The View" or read about it--including those who reported on it--have missed the slick attempt by Mr. Obama and his wife to use a cheap dress to try to use issues of race that have divided this country as they have not in 40 years in a transparent attempt to pull the "dress" over on voters.
Hellllllloooooooo everyone!!!! This deliberately chosen black and white dress was purchased at a shop called "WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET"!!!! I don't know of a more tactless use of a dress since Bubba made famous a blue( for Democrats) Gap dress to which he gave it and Monica Lewinsky his Presidential stain of approval.I believe this tactic used by Mr. Obama is an insult to ALL Americans. His hubris knows no bounds. This was a desperate act by a man who is an elitist that feels those who look to him as the Savior for all of the ills that are afflicting this country are ignorant and naive--AND HE'S RIGHT!!
This only stands to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, that Americans have allowed the shell of a dress or a suit, the allure and physicality of an individual to sway their conscience.
Sadly, we in this country have regressed to infants.......They react and are impressed by black and white at first....until they mature and understand the amazing diversity of color......
How ironic that the film "Primary Colors" was based on the Clintons......
I can't wait to see the "black and white" campaign ads and tv spots........
Just make sure to adjust the contrast of your TV screen.....

New image may need to be changed to true image. Where is your outrage for the way she has been painted to date? Was it any fairer to have her painted as unpatriotic or racist? One of the loudest complaints about the Obamas is that no one knows them. Now that she is trying to let people get to know the real Michelle Obama, you wish to condemn her? Look, learn, weigh what you see and hear, then make YOUR choice. Others should do the same.

True?? PAHLEEEEEEEZE!
I DID "look and weigh" what I have heard and seen and HAVE made my feelings clear.

If you can not be objective and see the "truth" of the unwaveringly calculative "new image" that has been deliberately created--then I suggest YOU "look, learn and weigh what you see and hear..."

Helllloooo?!! The "BLACK AND WHITE" DRESS WAS PURCHASED AT A STORE CALLED "WHITE HOUSE/BLACK MARKET"!!!! Do you REALLY think that that was an ACCIDENT??? COME ON! And the attempt to copy the seal of the President almost to the letter??!!!

ABSOOOOOOLLLLLLUUUUUUUTELY CLASSLESS, TACTLESS, ARROGANT BEYOND DESCRIPTION AND IGNORANT.

IF all of this WAS an ACCIDENT--then I suggest the Obamas fire their publicists and their image coordinators...
Robert F. Kennedy said in a speech in April 1968 that people give too much attention to those who have "swagger and bluster"......
Barrack Obama is the walking example of what RFK was referring to.

I agree with you VertigoBlond, look at what we have to make our decision in November from; Barrack - who has a different story every time - and McCain, a Republican. Four more years with a Republican may very well flush away the USA. The only reason Barrack is where he is today is because he is half black and pushing the blacks to get out and vote. Weigh the differences, the Democratic platform - which is a good one - with our new leader being half black, and his background stories all being different. On the other side, for those who vote black and white, is our Republican McCain, good background, solid all-americna family, father works, wife on perscriptions, etc. - the government being run by Republicans - disaster! Look at what Bush has done to us! I don't care if a candidate is black or white, what bothers me about Barrack is all the different stories - tailored to fit the situation. I am sorry if some of you do not agree - it is, of course, my opinion, and my freedom. I am a registered Dem and I honestly do not feel comfortable voting for Barrack at this point. McCain on the other hand has a solid background, but he is a Rep. ???

Funny that you said BronxGirl1-"look what we have to make our decision with"....I was just saying to a friend of mine.."Why do we need one man to run this WHOLE country--why do we even need a President? "By the people, for the people.." Are we sheep that need to be herded by a herder? We have Congress/Senate and State Government---To put the responsibility on 1 human being for all of the ills and decisions that have to be made in these turbulent times--is not logical.
On the subject of Mr.Obama--I wholeheartedly agree with you as to what I like to call "57 Varieties of the Truth"...like running ketchup--he's allllll over the place! One day he's proud of his Muslim background, the next he's banning women with headscarves from photos with him.
But the issue that is MOST disturbing is his shameful use of the race card!! In his speech the other day--he said, "and did you know...he's black."!!!!!
Not only did Mr. Obama use the race card--he threw it in the face of African American's--a shot below the belt that some may not have caught.
He has destroyed the Civil Rights strides that great men such as Martin Luther King and others, DIED and gave up their lives and freedoms for!! Dr. King said in his "I have a dream" speech, "I have a dream that one day my daughter's will be seen NOT for the color of their skin, but for the STRENGTH of their character."
Mr. Obama, by his WEAKNESS of character and his cheap and blatant use of race--has set Civil Rights back 40 years!
Sadly, man African-Americans, particularly the youth, are buying this shameless act!
I believe it is a GR

Unity please give me a break, there is no amount of unity by Hillary and Obama that would cause these american people to vote for Obama.Lets get real now everyone is coming up with reason on why Obama should not be President,he not experience enough,he know nothing about the security of our county, not sure what religion he is,the church he attends etc. no need for me to go on.Lets now call it what it is,racist people is alive and well and living next door to you. This county will never ever put a Black man and Obama is a Blackman into the White House.People are still very color blind meaning the only color they see is white. These same people still see Black Folks as second rate citizens. But we are not as matter of fact we are very far from that.Read your history, not white history but Black History and there you will find your answer on weather a Blackman can run this county, and I'm referring to all the things blacks has done for this county, from the underground railroad to the inventions that help build our great nation. No we are not or ever will be second to anyone. One last thing,as far as elections is concerns where do these so call people who run for office go to get votes,in the Black community,so yes ,yall need us as much as we need you.Why can't people look at whats on the inside instead of what color the box is.Thinking that will all change, well not in this lifetime.

GET OFF IT!!!...

What does "hate" have to do with it?

On the other hand, I see that there is some "bias" towards my observations.

If people in this country are so blind, deluded and desperate to save themselves for the BLEEP mess that they have created for themselves--that they can't see in "color" only black and white---then I dare say that remarkable men such as Martin Luther King and others who gave up their lives so that people would NOT see only "black and white" but color--are rolling over in their graves!!!
The ignorance, denial and use of race and religion by people has set the Civil Rights movement back 40 years!!!
And it is Mr. Obama who leading the foray into this repeat of one of the ugliest parts of this country's history---by using the "race card" deliberately by way of his comments such as...."and do you know....he's a BLACK man" to further drive into the American psyche that he is BLACK and not just "a man" without reference to his color.
The best image that comes to mind of his use of such comments, and those where he touts his "white" roots--is the the one of the Batman character "Two Face"....

Do your homework, do your research and stop attacking individuals and using the word "hate" because you don't agree with my opinions.

Malik---I believe thou speak with a very hypocritical tounge! "Most people hate hearing the truth"...........

Your "truth" and my "truth"...are NOT "truths" at all--they are just different observations of different facts flavored differently.....

How boring would it be if ALL chefs had the same flavor and ingred

....and ingredients in the dishes they created?
Only those who are too afraid and weak to stir the pot throw in a big chunk 'of "hate" to cover up the fact that they used expired ingredients that make you sick.....

Variety is the spice of life......

The world....is NOT just "black and white", "ebony and ivory, two flavors, two chefs,......It is based on DIVERSITY of ALL THINGS.........and without that....we are ALL doomed in the future.

Listen vertigo you know of the Black American only what you read and hear in the media,it is what it is,I heard if it looks like a duck, walk like a duck well it must be a duck. This is and always will be so called white america, and yes it is black and white, instead why can't it be people, which is what Dr king was referring too,for your information. But again this is america, how much has really changed in the south, maybe a few blacks got their own homes, you really need to get deep inside the culture to understand,I grant you this yes Blacks has came a long way,but we had to fight for it,and some died for it,can white america stay the same. There are still people out there with their white sheets hanging in the closet, point I'm making is this county was build on hate, everyone stepping on each other to gain power and at the cost of the little people.Obama is not doing or saying anything different then other Political person running for office except he is suggesting we need a change.Only problem I have with him is he changes up only to please white america because again no one wants to hear the truth about these United State of American, and believe me there is a lot more that needs to be said.By the way,a lot of my truth is FACT.

I have been fortunate enough to have grown up with a broad spectrum of cultures and theologies-(my birth father a Cathlolic, my first step-father an Israeli Jew and my second step-father an Egyptian Muslim), which I believe gave me the opportunity at a very young age to have a deep understanding of what fuels the deep rooted passions of conflicting ideologies, and at once, realizing that ALL religions and theologies are based on one central theme in variation. Blood IS one color---no matter the color of the skin, the religious belief, nor the country of origin. We ALL bleed. But people are more concerned with the color of money, who has the better car, clothes, jewelry, home and hold no value on what is TRULY valuable. PEACE, LOVE and the FREEDOMS that many of us take for granted. On 9/11, all of the victims, no matter what their religion, financial status or culture--ALL died in a horrific manner. From the busboys at Windows on the World, to the millionaire Kantor Fitzgerald brokers, to the poor delivery guy from the deli delivering breakfast, the Bravest, the Finest, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Agnostic, Atheist, Black, White, Yellow, mixed----ALL perished. Does anyone think it mattered about their status in any manner? Have people become soooo afraid and are they in sooo much denial about the effect that 9/11 truly had on their psyches that they forget that we were ALL attacked on that day and that ALL of our lives and way of life would forever be changed. Those who choose to use their democratic right to protest against our involvement in Iraq and who are making a mockery of our Military and their daily sacrifice for ALL of us---so that we may go to Starbucks, to the Mall, to a baseball game, to a movie, to be with your lover, your wife, your husband, your children, your family, to sleep a little more soundly at night-are an insult to their sacrifice---ALL because THEY can not do all of those things that we take for granted every day because they are sacrificing their lives for us and those daily pleasures to contain the cancer of terror that threatens to take those pleasures and freedoms from us. I pray that it will not be too late before all of us wake up and realize that this is NOT the sixties and that we are NOT dealing with the Vietnamese who designs on the world at large were less grandiose than those of the Fundamentalist Terrorists--who-unlike Hilter, who wanted to irradicate just the Jewish people--want to see the end of Western Civilization as we know it. The war in Iraq is about OIL some say? Well I would like to hear this ignorance being spewed when Fundamentalist Terrorists take control of these OIL reserves and these FEAR FACTOR cowards won't be able to function because of it. When you now look up LIBERAL in the dictionary it should say "see; TRAITOR
