PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE SO MISERABLE AND FRUSTRATED WITH THEIR OWN LOTS IN LIFE----AND WITH THAT---THERE ARE NOW SOOO MANY WHO, IN THEIR DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR---FEEL THAT THEY "SHOULDA BEEN A CONTENDER" FOR EVERYTHING FROM "AMERICAN IDOL", "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE", "SURVIVOR""AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL" AND THE LIKE....AND FEEL SOMEHOW THAT THEY CAN LIVE OUT THEIR DREAM BY "IDOL-IZING" THAT WHICH IN NO MORE THAN A WELL DRESSED, WELL SPOKEN CONTESTANT WHO IS REALLY LIP-SYNCING TO THE STUDIO ENGINEERED SOUND TRACK.

Once AGAIN, another shallow, $400 haircut, ego-maniac has proven that the only thing that good looks with no brains does for you or anyone--is to destroy the lives of others and yourself because of being blinded by the bright lights that come with fame, beauty and the a true lack of substance.
But Americans are soooo miserable with their own lot in life---that they feel if they have someone better looking than them representing them, that somehow their world will be brighter.....

The mass psychosis that has taken over this country that has lead people to believe that just because someone looks good, wears an expensive suit, has a perfect smile and haircut, that they are better "suited" to cure what ails us--borders on delusion!
BILL CLIT-ON JOHN EDWARDS IS NOT!! This man( as so many) has absolutely not one genuine ounce of humility in his body! Or RESPECT or EMPATHY for his own CANCER STRICKEN WIFE!!!
There is NO redemption to be had for this man--ZERO!!
It's nauseating enough to look at his Chesire Cat-Joker grin(Sorry Heath!)--but to think of the added suffering by Elizabeth Edwards caused by the embarrassment and shame of having such a lech for a husband--while she's battling a recurrence of cancer---is SICKENING!
The only words that seem fitting for this selfish, narcissistic, poor-excuse-for-a-man--come from the timeless Neil Young song "Southern Man"...........

American's better WAKE-UP and smell the rotting core of what little is left of our values.
If men like John Edwards, Elliot Spitzer and Bill Clinton are a reflection of how we want to be seen and heard---and representative of the standards of education, humanity and soul that so many have fought and died for---then we have already sealed our doom.
If people are sooo disenchanted with their lives, their bodies, their families and their lot in general----I give this advice:
GET A BACKBONE BEFORE YOU CRUSH THE SPINE OF THIS COUNTRY WITH THE WEIGHT OF YOUR COLLECTIVE MISERY.

As often as I have complained, in my many visits to Paris on business, witnessed and experienced great inconveniences and stress--when French citizens decide thatthey are unhappy with any number of Government, Social, Transportation or Service and hold massive demonstrations and strikes that shut down the City of Light---I now wholeheartedly agree with the method to their particular madness, as it IS quite effective, in most cases.
We, as Americans, MUST "straighten up and strike right".....not just by the few....by the multitudes, from EVERY social, economic, cultural and religious background--the young, the baby boomers, the elderly. It is imperative to ALL of our futures---those who have just started, those who have uncertain ones and those who have worked their whole lives just to see their efforts destroyed slowly by this ever deepening whirlpool of economic disasters.
Those who I have spoken of in other posts, who are living in a fantasy world--delusional in their belief that they are akin to the REAL radicals of the '60's, who DID make a difference---are NOT those to whom this call needs to be heard.
Those of us who are living in this unfortunate reality of uncertain economic times---must take our fears and turn them into action....and SOON!
Our men and women of the military are giving their lives to protect those FREEDOMS and the DEMOCRACY that allows us to use our common voice to institute change......NOT of our government.......but ANYTHING that stands in the way of progress and the stability of our way of life.
I call for a one day strike of ALL OIL companies---what I have called the "BOIL FOR OIL" Day.
Once again, if we can have millions march for social injustices, cancer, aids, and other insidious diseases and injustices---WE CERTAINLY can ALL band together to march for this VITAL reason.
Spread the word!!
Labor Day weekend would be, I believe, the best time for a march such as this---just when the OIL companies and their subsidiaries stand to make a GIANT profit off of our hard earned LABOR!!

I
have a new nickname for Mr. Obama--"BARACKMAN."
This
"actor" wants to be "leading man" sooo desperately that he
turns into the villain that he protests to want to save us from:
"TWO
FACE."
Just
imagine to yourself Mr. Obama, the self-prescribed hero and savior of the
American people when the lights of the media are on.......but then....just as
the lights dim, he becomes a modern day villian with two faces--one half
black the other half white....and his head flips from one side to the other as
his alter ego takes hold.
Frightening
in his duality---"BARACKMAN" speaks of his willingness to
"change" the country and save it and us from--according to
him--certain doom, if we don't take his hand.
But
"Two-face," on the other hand can't make up his mind WHICH side he's
on or for that matter, where he comes from....I'm white, I'm black-I'm a
Christian, I'm a Muslim-I'm for gun control, I'm against gun control, I want
direct talks with the Iranian president, I might talk with someone in the
Iranian Government... Unilateralism...What unilateralism?...etc etc etc....
This
IS, obviously a faint attempt at finding some humor in his behavior....but as
the saying goes, "There is ALWAYS truth in gest...."
The
truth is, worse than a "bomb" at the box office, due to Mr. Obama's
poor "acting" skills--are the REAL BOMBS we may encounter due to his Ignorance and inexperience if were ever to become President.
This
may be a silly analogy to use in reference to Mr. Obama---but considering what
I feel is a deepening and disturbing trend---American's ONLY seem to get the
message through the fantasy of Hollywood.
But
I would like to give them a slap and tell them: "Look--it's ONLY a
costume. What you are seeing IS NOT REAL!!"

If I didn't see the program with my own two eyes or the corresponding press promoting
Michelle Obama's "new image"--it would not have made me gasp at the absolute and calculative attempt by Barrack Obama to stoop to a new low to dupe the American public into believing that they are "two for all" the people.
I believe that the majority of those who either saw "The View" or read about it--including those who reported on it--have missed the slick attempt by Mr. Obama and his wife to use a cheap dress to try to use issues of race that have divided this country as they have not in 40 years in a transparent attempt to pull the "dress" over on voters.
Hellllllloooooooo everyone!!!! This deliberately chosen black and white dress was purchased at a shop called "WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET"!!!! I don't know of a more tactless use of a dress since Bubba made famous a blue( for Democrats) Gap dress to which he gave it and Monica Lewinsky his Presidential stain of approval.I believe this tactic used by Mr. Obama is an insult to ALL Americans.His hubris knows no bounds.This was a desperate act by a man who is an elitist that feels those who look to him as the Savior for all of the ills that are afflicting this country are ignorant and naive--AND HE'S RIGHT!!
This only stands to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, that Americans have allowed the shell of a dress or a suit, the allure and physicality of an individual to sway their conscience.
Sadly, we in this country have regressed to infants.......They react and are impressed by black and white at first....until they mature and understand the amazing diversity of color......
How ironic that the film "Primary Colors" was based on the Clintons......
I can't wait to see the "black and white" campaign ads and tv spots........
Just make sure to adjust the contrast of your TV screen.....

Well, for starters, I'M SURE that many will take this comparisons the opinion of someone who has gone to the edge of precarious precipice.......But oh contraire.....
The frighteningly similar, idol worship of these two men, are, upon close examination of their effect on those who are desperately seeking to find someone's caftan or $4,000.00 suit to hold on to in their panic to find salvation and a savior to lift them out of their miserable( someself created) existences--are mirrors of the ideologies that will lead usto an ever increasing danger of becoming one mass of frightened rabbits, who in cult-like fashion.....follow their tune of promises of "paradise"and "change" to our doom.
All one has to do is draw a cartoon in your head--one cartoon has the image of Osama Bin Laden playing a flute whistling the tune "paradise, paradise, paradise.." with the desperate following the tune till they fall off the pier anddrown. The other side of the cartoon has the same set up--but only THIS time--it is Barrack Obama playing the tune "change, change, change.." with the fear-factor robots now falling into the river.......
I would love to see this image blown up in Time Square on the Jumbotron screen....NO WORDS WOULD BE NEEDED!
People better wake up and take their ipod earplugs out of their ears and listen to the words of the dangerous songs being sung.....
Otherwise, the cost will be quite a bit more than we can afford to pay.
The expression "follow the leader" seemed to be embeddedinto the hearts and minds of those who looked to the United States as the Holy Grail of saviors- to free them from a life of oppression, poverty, disease and war. They, in their idealization of what was represented in the media, cinema and magazines of the "wonderful life" in America--as well as first to third hand accounts of how much better life was here from family and friends--helped to keep the U.S as the imagined leader of the free world.
But that has ALL changed.
We have, collectively, become a nation of followers, pretenders and n'er do wells-polygamists, pedophiles, prostitutes, beaters and cheaters, rapists and racists----who have allowed their ignorance to let them be lead, like rats--to the Pied Piper who plays the best tune, has the most expensive suits and has the best looking flute.....leading us slowly to our demise. In their star struck delirium--Americans hope that somehow they will have a little bit of stardust thrown their way, so that they can continue to live in and wallow in the a world of lies and deny their own miserable existence that they have created through greed, insecurity, laziness and jealousy.
We have come to demonize the Islamic extremists and the weak and desperate people to whom they play their deadly tune.
Americans, sadly, have become NO different than those to whom they fear in the Islamic world. The people of Islam--through the systematic and deliberate acts by those to whom they look to as leaders-- being deliberately being kept hungry, desperate, poor, uneducated and angry--have allowed themselves to be vilified because of their belief in these leaders in their desperation to escape the horror of their existence and the futile hope of change.
Barrack Obama preaches the idea of "change"..........
It is NOT he nor any other human being that can "change" the mess that we have made for ourselves through our hubris and greed.
WE MUST "change" ourselves and stop being followers, pretenders and wanna-be's.
We must now snap out of the trance that the Pied Pipers of "change" have hypnotized us with before we end up in the dead in the river with the rest of the rats.

I came across this quote from the Dalai Lama today and I was struck by how absolutely perfect his observation on Peace--and how best to achieve it--is.
I need not offer too much commentary on it--for the quote speaks volumes--particularly to those who have protested against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.....
We should ALL remind ourselves of this EVERYDAY!...and those who are desiring to become our next President should have it framed on their desk--so when they go around preaching about how great it's going to be when they pull our troops out---they'll have the words of someone who knows first hand about war, oppression and human rights--and has the ear of the big boss upstairs--NOT just someone who has NO experience with it at all and talks as if they were our savior!

Yeah, yeah....I know..silly isn't it? BUT....after listening to tonight's New Hampshire debates--
and the Dumb-o-cratic contenders protestations of cowardice as it relates to our military in Iraq, I believe that these will be the new nomikers that they will be rightfully slapped with if their wishes to have our troops be pulled out of Iraq prematurely comes to fruition.While John Edwards and Barrack Obama all but French kissed in their mutual ass-kissing fest---and Hillary was left to be focus of their new found Iow-agra cockiness, the blanket of "I" suffocated the importance of "we."
I-I-I!!!!!With the repetitive patterns of parrots, they showed the true colors of their peacock feathers and they were NOT red, white and blue....but green not for the enviornment--but envy....for each other.
I am now convinced that our country is on the edge of a precarious cliff and that we need to FEAR not TERRORISM but the IGNORANCE that has spread like a mental Ebola virus that allows some to even CONSIDER someone of such inexperience as Barrack Obama.
If people in this country choose to educate themselves with US( as in the celebrity rag) and other celebrity feeding frenzy junk and NOT the events affecting the U.S....Those of us who continue to choose image over substance and experience----we will be writing our country's obituary.
The question is this:
What purpose will looking like a celebrity (or feeling that one has a vicarious connection to one by voting for the best image) expensive car, bag, shoes, pair of jeans, plastic surgery, etc do anyone when our next major crisis comes calling??
Was anyone REALLY concerned about ANY of those things on 9/11???
How can American's embarrass themselves and put their security and welfare at risk by supporting candidates with NO diplomatic or foreign policy experience when we are being faced with the threat of a nuclear Iran, an educationally and productively superior China, India, and Russia, unstable nuclear Pakistan,and a deteriorating and increasingly volatile Africa?
People are more than happy to shell out five dollars for a celebrity gossip rag--but won't shell out the same money for the NY Times, Time magazine, National Geographic or the like. They won't turn on Fox News or any other international news channel--but will happily spend hours watching Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Jerry Springer or Oprah--who has used her celebrity not to lift our nation, but to fuel the state of ignorance that pervades--and has selfishly taken advantage of those whom look to her for information and inspiration--and used her power to delude people into believing a lie based on her own girlish jonesing for Mr. Obama
He, like the Islamic Fundamentalist terror leaders, is the Pied Piper of the desperate, underprivledged, disenchanted and uneducated, who plays the tune that they think will lead them to a better tomorrow-but who in actuality is leading them to drown in their delusions. AMERICA DON'T BE SOOO DESPERATE FOR CHANGE THAT YOU DON'T GET YOUR PRIORITIES AND YOUR CORE VALUES STRAIGHT!

It is a frightening sign of our shallow, image-is-everything, jonesing for anything celebrity, star dumbstruck world, that someone as wet behind the ears as Barrack Obama has had a meteoric rise to the top of the political mountain. And with Oprah Winfrey putting her weight( literally) behind him--we should be shaken not stirred by this slickly packaged OO8 team.
I seriously believe that people are in SUCH a state of denial about reality, the condition of our lives and our world, so afraid of what lies around the corner--that they have become deaf, dumb and blind.For if people were living in the real world and not in a TMZ zone, they would be afraid NOT of when our next terrorist attack is---but how a man who's only real wealth lies in his looks and his pocket-NOT experience---can be the leader of the world's greatest superpower when he has so little to draw from?
How can people be so picky about the age of a good steak, cheese, wine, alcohol etc and the experience and reputation of the restaurant, farm, vineyard, or distillery that produces quality from years of experience---but NOT be concerned with the experience and substance of someone who will be the leader of our country??Just because the bottle has a nice label, the cheese has a fancy name, or the restaurant has a cool design, it doesn't mean that what you swallow isn't going to make you sick.
My views are not shadowed by color---only by reality....and fear of the consequences of such a frightening turn of conscience in our country.
I suggest that if Americans want to feel that they are part of the "entourage" by buying a knock-off bag from Canal Street to look fashionable.....they are going to regret their purchase when the OO8 logo wears off and all that is left is fake pleather.

President Bush was NOT himself unsure of whether Mr. Siddiq was of the Muslim faith--but I believe-he was-in a polite, tongue in cheek way--asking Mr. Siddiq, rhethorically, "ARE YOU A MUSLIM?"--to remind him( and possibly the world)--that true "faith" only comes when you understand what it is to be humble and thankful. Mr. Siddiq, showed himself to be neither.
The query of Mr. Siddiq represents, at least for myself, a burning desire to shake the Immigration Service and those whom we chose to be our representatives in Washington and the States where we live--and say "HELLLLLLLOOOOOO!!!! WAKE-UP AND have a DOUBLE EXPRESSO! DON'T YOU GET IT!!??
The audacious seeds that have been allowed to come and plant themselves here in our soil-under the pretext of wanting to grow,live, love,raise their families, educate themselves and practice their chosen faith, have now grown roots fed by this soil that now attempt to strangle the life out of the nutrients that have made this great garden of what is the United States of America..

If Mr. Siddiq and those who have the gall to try to take pruning shears to our garden because they--by watching old re-runs of "Dallas", "The Jeffersons"( They should have watched "Good Times"), "Sex and the City" etc--deluded themselves into believing that fantasy and fictional life was a reality--I hate to be the one to burst your bubbles-but-REALITY shows are IT!

Maybe Mr. Siddiq and others like him should take a few of those dollars that he earns here and take a trip to Liberty Island and read the quote at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Let the answer that is carved into the the monument that stands for ALL and that gives hope to those who have come to this land to seek a better quality of life be the ever lasting answer he seeks.
Mr. Siddiq, if you are worried about something as pithy as a glance, or what people are thinking of you as you go to the bathroom on an airplane-when there are thousands dying and being maimed including Muslims, through terrorism--ask yourself WHO is TRULY to blame for the pervading observations of those of Muslim origin--and THEN ask your question again.
