Call me a cynic but I just don't buy the man's story and if it's true it's not worth two million dollars.

In case you have not heard a Gokhan Mutlu of Manhattan is suing JetBlue claiming the pilot made him give up his seat to a flight attendant and sit on the toilet on a flight to New York from California.

According to court papers Mutlu was traveling from San Diego using a standby travel voucher that JetBlue emplyees give to friends.

Mutlu claims he was told a flight attendant had taken the last seat on the plane, but then he was advised she would sit in the employee "jump seat," meaning he could have the last seat but 90 minutes into the flight the flight attendant found the jump seat uncomfortable and the pilot made him give up his seat.  He claims he wasn't allowed to sit in the jump seat because of JetBlue rules and the pilot told him to hang out in the bathroom.

He claims another flight attendant knocked on the restroom door and told Mutlu he could return to his original seat.

JetBlue can't comment on the suit because it could hurt them in court but I'll do the talking for them... it sounds like a load of bull.

C'mon!! he flew for free and he sue the airline on top of that??.. this is rediculous! I agree with the pilot that he should be greatful to get on the plane. Can u imegine that this guy must be a troblemaker on that plane! that's why pilot have to come out and talk to him personally..This story doesn't add up.. If this situation happened unfair, i'm sure many of customers on that flight will complain ASAP when they landded.. for this case, Scammer scam along the way!!!... I feel sorry to the Pilot!!

Another idiot thinks he ran across free money. The tort system in this country needs to be reformed if these sorts of lawsuits are even being considered.

This is just weird and sounds totally bogus. I can't imagine ANY airline employee telling a passenger to stay in the bathroom...especially considering that airlines have been under fire for drunk pilots, delays, cancellations, increasing prices, etc. Why would they go out of their way to put themselves in even hotter water? It just doesn't sound something normal people would do. But then again, isn't this the same airline that denied woman medical attention and after she died put her body in first class? I don't know anymore. I'm confused. I need to take a nap.
